I was shocked that this place changed so much between my less than frequent visits. I noticed the place being built and there was always a huge area that didn’t have anything in it - strange because the rest of the shop was very well designed and appointed. Has the largest selection of beer in the center city. You can even make your own six packs. The place doesn’t have the tiny/sleazy feel of the other two stores to get beer in center city. If you live in Center City, this is the place to get your beer. The owner loves to talk about beer and is always changing the inventory to make sure that the customers can try new brews. No real ambiance - it’s a Philly deli, but you can mix and match your sixers!! A beer adventurist’s dream. Not a great place for value (again, read Philly deli), but I love the guy and love the place. Can’t help but walk a few blocks out of my way to pick up my brews here. |
