| jde123 (58), Washington, Washington DC | | August 19, 2009 While I like the staff here (they’ve been very pleasant over the last two years while I lived in the neighborhood), they know nothing of the beer they sell, and the beer they sell is kind of run of the mill - everything sold here is also sold at the other bottle shops nearby. Way overpriced. If you want something cheaper, just walk a block south to Pine Street Deli or less than a block to Latimer Deli. That said, I usually end up buying some beer here, because I frequently buy groceries here. | | bp (49), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | October 19, 2008 This is not a great beer stop by any means but the place does have a decent selection of brews. There are always bottles of Rogue, Chimay, Ommegang, Sierra Nevada plus some other Belgians. Lately they also started getting in Elysian and Ithaca beers. Again, not a destination and don’t expect any help from the staff but you could do a lot worse for beer selection. |
