| boelker62 (12), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania | | January 23, 2007 There is a reason this place went out of business. Horrible beer. Bad layout. But, an absolutely AWESOME bar area downstairs. They needed a better system to get food to it. The cafeteria style food upstairs was just like high school. Horrible, dirty and greasy. However, with all the kitchen equipment there, and the business empty, it is a perfect place for an established brewpub chain to set up shop. There are limits, because they did not leave themselves alot of space for brewing, so we;ll see. It also needs some signage and storefront area to show it’s even there. | | DocLock (99), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania | | September 19, 2005 The upstairs is a dining area where you can get pub food, stuff like chicken nuggets, BBQ chicken, burgers, etc. Downstairs is a bar area that has the 4 beers on tap. They do have 2 beers upstairs, but I had to go downstairs to get the full sampler in order to carry it back up the steps. The service was good, and the food was average at best. The beer selection was sub par, but I am confident that this place will improve. | | obxdude10 (74), Reading, Pennsylvania | | September 15, 2005 Don’t be alarmed when you walk in the front door and see the kitchen! the pub is downstairs, while the restaurant portion is upstairs, nice pub feel downstairs, plenty of room at the bar, jukebox for music, two tv’s above the bar, you can order some pub-grade food there as well, beer was average at best, service was very friendly & prompt

Looks like a glorified basement bar. Food is typical counter top quality with average to slightly below average beer. |
