PghGold (1), , does not count - explanation | | August 27, 2009 Love, love, love this place! It is just what beer drinkers have been looking for on this side of town. I have driven considerably out of my way to enjoy a decent beer selection, but not any more! I am thrilled to have such an awesome place in my back yard (O’Hara Twp). The place is clean, comfortable and there is something for everyone. Food, music, TVs and every BEER you could ever want to try! I love the mix and match take out. And the prices are amazing whether you are hanging out there for a while or taking something home! | hoppy89 (1), Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | August 24, 2009 Really cool concept - mix-n-match, UNREAL crafts, beer school nights, really good burgers with home cut fries, chocolate covered bacon AND a beer distributor right next door to get a case for home! Going back for the selection, clean place, educated staff and the Steelers games!! | | RHeastings (22), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | July 30, 2009 [ Updated August 27, 2009 ] This place just opened not long ago, and I went in with a buddy to check it out. The beer selection is excellent, especially for western Pennsylvania. Just as importantly, the prices were out of this world; easily the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere. The employees were friendly, helpful, and eager to talk beer. The environment was well-lit, clean, kid-friendly, and inviting. While I haven’t tried the food yet, it looked like a nice melange of standard pub fare. Overall, a great place to visit, drink at, and take some beers for the road in the Pittsburgh area.
Addendum: I have gone back since my initial rating. Unfortunately, they have added a dollar to all beers consumed on premise, which really ruins the value. In my opinion, a terrible idea for a place trying to keep people in the bottle shop area. |
