Best selection in scranton. Has a nice outdoor bar and dinning area. 20+ drafts and quite a few bottles.

This place is great, they had a large selection of drafts, about 20 with victory Hop Devil on a hand pump, and what appeared to be large selection of bottles. Then there is the food, 5 star, some of he best I have ever had (I like to eat as much as drink beer)

The interior is has your cliche seafood decor (fishing nets, portholes, etc. ), but done without getting too cheezy. The bar area is nice and open, and they have an outdoor deck bar for when the weather is nice. The beer list is long, but focuses heavily on the PA and eastern US beers. I found quite a few beers on the list that I have not tried. The only rarity they had on my visit, was 1994 Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek on draft. The kicker was that it was $15 a glass! Ouch!. The food looked rather good, but I had already eaten when I visited. This is the place to hit if you want beer in Scranton. It is definitely worth a stop, but I do not think there are enough rarities to warrant a trip up there. You should be able to get most of the beers in the Philly area.

As a Scranton native, I dined at Coopers countless times after graduations and other special events. Whenever I’m back in town I typically stop by for a drink or two. The beer selection is the most extensive in the Scranton area. The bartenders are knowledgeable enough about beer, but the waitresses are clueless. It often takes multiple attempts to get a copy of the updated bottle list if you ask a waitress - it’s best just to sit at the bar if you’re visiting for the beer. Food is adequate, above average for the area. Worth a stop if you’re in Scranton.

still a nice place to go for a good selection of beer. Always something good on tap and always a few good bottles from the list. food is good. prices are alittle hight but thats understandable for a bar downtown.

this place was great. good food and a great beer selection. Knowlegdable staff in bar but waitresses...not so much. Beer list is good but quitee often the are out of selections. And the menu never changes and sometimes the staff (waitresses) are not the best

Went to dinner here while visiting family. A pretty good restaurant with pretty good service (had to wait for all party members to arrive to be seated?) and really good food that has one of the best selections of beer I’ve seen. Drank Cask conditioned, hand-pumped, Victory Hop Devil, and bought an Allagash Interlude and a 22oz. 2004 Avery The Beast! Highly recommended.

A diamond in the rough of Scranton, PA. This is a seafood restaraunt first and foremost (and a good one at that) but the selection of tap and bottled beers is excellent. The bartenders were also friendly and supercool. Well worth the stop if you are in the area.

Good seafood and a descent beer selection are two things I did not expect when visiting Scranton. However, an evening at Cooper’s brought me back to craft beer and to join Ratebeer after having a 1995 Samiclaus and few others.
