February 27, 2008 Big, modern faux-brewpub on the waterfront. The wife and I had a windowside table with a great view of the river. The house beers, while nothing spectacular, exceeded my expectations. All were refreshing, nice with the salty local food, and a few had some real character. Had a trio of interesting artisanal sausages, followed by the traditional bready-shrimp dumpling dish. Good stuff. The server was quick and friendly I even felt bad for him when he skipped the decimal on our bill and accidentally charged us thousands of dollars for the meal. It was touch-and-go there for a while, but the manager sorted it out. Also near the oceanarium and a big shopping mall, and far away from the tourists. |
February 28, 2007 Loacted in popular Parque das Nações at Rio Tejo this restaurant attracts many partgoers. The food is good, and they have three regular house beers made for them by Unicer, and one seasonal at the time. One of few places in Portugal to get a beer a little bit out of the ordinary. |
