Le style viking tout en bois plaira aux plus difficile. Le staff est solide, la musique toujours bonne et la clientele tres alluméé. Toujours 8 bieres au menus d’un immense catalogue. Ca fait la job en estie...

Comfortable brewpub with nice patio. Wide variety of beers on the 8 taps, but agree entirely with previous commenter that many were odd ones with some issues. Staff relaxed and friendly. Worth a visit, but be forewarned that you may not find a session beer on tap.

The overall atmosphere can be summed up as ’hippie’. The cozy patio was open, and offered plenty of shade.
8 Beers on the menu, pretty much all of them were of the freak show variety. Honey stout? Lime and Raspberry amber? Lime and Ginger Blonde? There’s nothing wrong with the occasional off-the-wall Beer, but this is just too weird. Honestly, I wouldn’t mind if they were actually well brewed, but more often than not they show very perceptible faults.
Do I recomend going out of your way to have a drink here? For the atmosphere, sure, but caveat emptor, it’s always a crapshoot with the Beers and that’s unfortunate. But prices are on the cheap side.

This place is very different no expectations. The staff are pleasant, the service is great. the choices are numeros. You can feel at home here, and if it’s to hot inside to out on the terrace and stay as long as you want it is very comfortable out there.

Felt welcome immediately - playing "Bone Machine" by Tom Waits as I walked in - nice arty/woody/cozy ambience, 8 taps, $12.50 for a carousel of 100ml tasters (numbered!) of all eight taps, good english, lively customers - no food I could see, but a nice patio outside and interesting beers - worth the trip.

Went there on Oct. 9 , with Satchmo. Had the Galopin taster. Beers tend to be unequal. I do enjoy this place though, this big tasting room, where you can chat to the brewer. Very artisanal look and lots of beards. And its in easy walk to the Marché des Halles du Vieux Port, where you can buy an interesting array of local ciders and meads, and other delicacies.

Very nice out of the city centre looking bar. Went in at 9.30 am I believe and had to drive. So no beer sadly enough for me. Had a nice talk though with the bartender and some locals that where already drinking a nice pint.

It’s always interesting to visit La Barberie, even though you won’t find a masterpiece here. These guys brew so many different beers in small batches, you could visit them twice in the same week and probably taste 12 different beers. This is due to their small batch sizes of only 200 liters. Quality’s boring to good in a quaint and very small bar/tasting room. The beers they serve here are usually leagues better than the ones they bottle for stores around the province, bottles which definitely have issues. The side terrace in summer is fun too. Quebec City’s best of 2 rather lackluster brewpubs.
