Maybe my visit was a miss (hit or miss) Food was not good, mushy Rueben sandwich, greasy limp fries. Fish and chips was just bad. Beer is not bad, the RI IPA and the Belgian Strawberry Pale Ale were good, though not spectacular.

Not too bad of a place. I had the beer sampler so I got to try 6 different beers that they had on tap that day.and I honestly wasn’t too impressed. Their beers are at most, just your normal brewpub type of beers. For some really good micro brews, check out Coddingtons in Middletown, RI. They have some good brews and food!

Trinity is the best brewpub in RI with regards to food and beer. The food is usually really good and the beer equally as good. However, they can, at times, be hit or miss with both. Their IPA is always fantastic, and rivals some west coast IPAs. Their Russian Imperial Stout also never disappoints. They’ve gotten a little more creative in their brewing recently. Their 5 taps usually change somewhat frequently, though you can almost always fine their IPA on and they usually have it in bottles as well.

Located right downtown with a cozy worn British-Irish motif. I visited on a late Sunday and the bartender was talkative, but seemed like he was ready to quit for the night. I tried 6 of the beers on tap, most of which were decent and enjoyable. The IIPA was good enough for a second. I did not eat on this visit. Worth a stop in the area if it’s not too busy.

Some reasonable beers are about the only saving grace to the Trinity Brewhouse. A rather grim interior, I thought and a slightly unwelcoming ’locals’ vibe, although maybe I was just being paranoid. We sat at a table and awaited some service, which didn’t arrive, so we moved to the bar, which seemed to annoy and confuse the girl behind the bar greatly. We had to sit and wait another ten minutes for her to finish her conversation before we were served. I had a sample selection of their beers, which were fairly good for the most part the La Femme Foncee was rather good although their light lager was predictably poor and their nitro stout did nothing for me. The girl behind the bar was replaced by an older guy who seemed a little more on the ball and service picked up. We didn’t eat, but the gentleman next to us sent back his fish and chips due to excessive burning... it didn’t look too appetizing.

Funky interiors. Ate in the basement. Dark warm atmosphere. Kind of sports bar meets eccentric art interior. Service was good. The beer is mostly unfiltered leaving some unusual tastes for the styles the beer fell under categorically. Their Belgian Triple had unusual hops and about a 10% alcohol content. Only place I have ever had pulled pork on Nachos.

Great atomsphere, very good food, good beer. Place feels like a good brew pub should, sociable and a little dark. I grew up next door to the brewmaster. Great place to go after a game at the Dunk or after a Trinity play. He makes a nice brew, and Trinity will defintely appeal to hopheads. The IPA is their signature drink. Definitely worth a trip if in Providence

This was a great experience. I drove about 40 mins to providence. I walked in on a thursday afternoon and there was not a sole in sight. It was actually kind of nice. The waitress was awesome, very nice and kind. The beers were drinkable and good. The food was fantastic. This is a place to go for sure, I will be back.

I asked one of the locals which was better, Trinity or Union Station and took his advice to try Trinity. I’m tempted to say don’t waste your time but perhaps my one experience there was an anomaly. It’s very dark and dingy inside... the basement is cavern-like. I knew right away it wasn’t very clean when the waiter brought us used coasters for our pints. Mine had been wet previously and was curled up from drying... my colleague’s had a nice dark ring stained into it and dirt embedded around the edges. The windows hadn’t been cleaned in forever and the floor was filthy (we were there when they opened in the afternoon so either they had a mad rush of customers before us, or it hadn’t been cleaned from the night before). The fries that came with our meal were black, yes, BLACK. I can’t imagine how old the oil must have been. When we didn’t eat the fries, the waiter didn’t seem too concerned to ask why. On the upside, I sampled the Maple Porter and it was pretty good - about the only positive in this otherwise forgettable experience. I know I won’t ever go back, even if the beer was decent. If you’re willing to try it, size up the cleanliness before you settle in. If you’re looking to go only one place in town, try Union instead - a much better choice.
