Visisted four days in a row at my visit to Glasgow for RBESG. Some hard to get cask ales on, and a decent rotation, so it is worth coming back every-other day. Also a pretty good bottle selection. The service was friendly, though a bit slow on packed Thursday and Friday nights. Quite packed and noisy on Thurday and Friday night. Excellent food.

One of the best Bars in Glasgow for real ale, Has a good selection of wines too for the non-beer fan. Food is excellent - the best burger in town! Can get very hot and busy at weekends.

Visited the place on a Sunday evening. Wanted a meal, but the kitchen closes at 20.00 on Sundays. Nice staff with some knowledge of beer. Three or four hand pumps which according to a local were shifted quite often, the other beers on draft quite boring. A decent selction of bottles including some really nice ones from Brewdog.

Location of the Ultimate Glasgow tasting and start of thge afters pub crawl. Nice selection on cask and bottles. The burger I had at lunch has to be the best I have had in Europe. Highlight of my weekend for sure!

Visited during RBESG 2007. Some nice beers on tap, but not a huge selection. Maybe a bit too crowded when I visited on a late Friday evening, but otherwise just nice. I will be back, Tom...

Great place. Ended the first night of RBESG there, had the grand tasting on the Saturday there and finished off there on the last day. Decent and well selected range of beer, Brew Dog a plenty, tasty and reasonably priced food and excellent service. Great music too. One of those places you instantly feel at home and a must visit if in Glasgow.

Visited twice during RBESG 2007. General impression: what the others said. Limited but nice selection of cask ales and some decent bottles. Good food.

Great place, made even better with Tom putting on all the extra beers. The food was splendid, too. I’ll make this my firt stop the next time I’m in town!

Visited for RBESG, hit this place on the first night. They had some cracking ales on, stuff I hadn’t seen on the rest of the Glasgow pubcrawl, and of course the Brewdog Paradox, which had been brought in specially. A few brewdog bottles too. A little expensive, and can get a bit busy at peak times, but so does anywhere. Cracking alehouse, very accommodating, and somewhere I’d definitely go back to!

I visited this place at the heart of the RBESG, so the atmosphere was of course very good and Tom had made sure that the casks included some goodies. My rating can only reflect this and may therefore be a bit more generous than the place deserves, but the fact remains that there was brewdog paradox, a 10% whisky barrel-aged imperial stout sold at 2.75 for a pint from the cask and that the staff went out of their way to ensure we have a good time. A mundane, popular hangout. The food was also amongst the best Scottish I’ve had after 4 days in Scotland.
