March 27, 2008 A huge place with tall cealings and wooden floor - a little too tall cealings to really get anywhere like cozy. Glad we had the sideroom for our dinner, since the main hall was very noisy. The food was decent, but a bit pricy compared to the quality. 4 beers on draft, unfortunately another had just run out before our arrival, some patrons were still sipping it, which was a bit of a disappointment to me. German style beers, pretty boring if you live as close to Germany as I do, but if you live in Glasgow the concept might work. Anyways, if I go back to Glasgow, I’ll pop by and see if anything new is on. |

September 6, 2007 Huge disappointment. Boring beer, and almost half of the beers were not even on when I visited. Food was barely ok and I really wanted more from this place. |

August 28, 2007 The only let-down during the RBESG 2007. Uninteresting and over-priced German style lagers + hefeweizen - but the Germans do them better! No point in having a brewpub if they can’t brew better beers than these. Located in a former factory, which explains the uninviting interior. Food is not exactly haute cuisine, and a bit over-priced for the quality. Friendly staff though. |

August 28, 2007 Flavourless beers. The food was as tasteless as their beers. Nice of them though to let us sample some of our own beers after our meal. |

August 28, 2007 German style beers which are fairly boring, but the food was good. Their airy function room worked very well. Generous of them to let us sample some beers after our meal. (RBESG 2007) |

August 26, 2007 Big, old fashioned building with huge ceilings and a few rooms. An ok selection of their own beers, a few were off. Food was good, portions were nice size, but I had to leave the bratwurst, because it was just so peppery. It was a bit dead, especially for a friday night, which gave it such an empty ambience. Top marks for letting us do a head to head with the cantillons afterwards though. I’d go back. |

August 26, 2007 A large roomed, german style tavern that offer german style beer of dubious quality in a superb building. The food was quite acceptable by Scottish standards, but again concentrated on german style food. Okay service, a bit slow, but we were a large group and they allowed for the opening of some rare Cantillons after the meal. |

September 17, 2006 Slightly upscale brewing restaurant in the nice environment. Service and food were ok. There was also some Sierra Nevada and Meantime available. |

Bottled beer changed between 8 and 30 sometimes your find somethign outstanding somethings its just sierra nevada pale ale for a stupid £3:50. however i like the place and well i will end up working there. |

March 18, 2006 Had lunch here a few days after it opened. Food is hearty German fayre and very good. Good beer, reasonably priced, looking forward to trying their new beers as they appear. |
