Did not really enjoy myself on a visit to the Atlantic Brewing Company. The tour felt extremely ’low brow’ and was directed at the 40 other tourists. It felt like one long boast about ABC’s beers to the detriment of all other beer. (Talking up their own beer is great, just don’t bring down others, it’s okay to love lots of different beer!) The tasting afterwards was fun, they ran down the whole selection, some 12? beers and kept up lots of lively banter, I needed to sit a bit before driving off.

this is a very small brewery, if you are in the Bar Harbor area make it a point to stop in and support our local brewers. tours are offered through the well stocked gift shop. on site is a small bbq shop with great values

Amazing BBQ joint - and this coming from an East Tennessean who grew up around BBQ. Pulled pork and ribs are highly recommended. The beers ranged in quality, but the good ones were very good, including the Scottish ale which was a perfect complement to the BBQ sauce. Also, this may be the only place to get their Bro. Adam’s Bragget on tap. Wait staff was prompt and very friendly and attentive.meals were 10-14, worth every penny for the amount and quality of food. Picnic atmosphere. A must see if you’re in the Bar Harbor area in my opinion.

This place was a bit of a surprise, it is off the main road. The atmosphere is friendly and family friendly to. The food is meat, meat, meat, but very good.the beer selection was good and you can buy all of their products at the boutique.

A picturesque white country house out front shields the brewery, gift shop, and smokehouse set out back. You can find all of Atlantic’s brews in the bottle shop (including their specials, like the Foonf Zane Auld Ale when I was there), and during summer they will give you a free tasting of all their beers and sodas when there is enough people in the shop (which is pretty often I guess). This is NOT in downtown Bar Harbor, their address is pretty misleading. It is actually in the hamlet of Town Hill, which is still on Mount Desert Island but a few miles away from Bar Harbor. Their beers are served on tap in the smokehouse out back as well, but you can also get them in BHarbor at Lompoc Café. A fun brewery with no pretention to greatness, imho.

Didn’t have time to do the tour but I did get a sampling of 7 of their beers (incl. the Bragett!) and a couple of sodas. Guide was pretty knowledgeable but definitely tried to keep things moving. I talked to him a bit afterwards and he was able to answer my questions. All their bottled beer is for sale there as well as some drafts at their little smokehouse restaurant. This place is really set up for the tourists - they actually have small buses from downtown Bar Harbor that bring people in. I’m kind of disappointed that they’re in agreement with Shipyard to have some of their stuff produced and distributed from Portland now, but I guess it’s a business. I can’t believe how many states they’re now available in and I’m sure it’s because of Shipyard.

One of the many tiny little breweries in Bar Harbor. This was a nice little country store place with attached smokehouse. The staff was very friendly and I was able to try most of their beer. I picked up some nice glasses as well. I enjoyed their ginger and blueberry beers.
