| Pivoyager (36), Gaithersburg, Maryland | | November 24, 2009 This is the primo destination for beer in Burlington. You get great flatbread pizza, attentive service and superb craft beer brewed on site. It can get crowded on weekends, but there is a reason; it’s so good. If you can, grab a chair by the fireplace and relaaaaaaax! | | beermagnet (14), Quebec | | September 29, 2009 it was nice qhen qe qent there not anything so exiting if you know these kind of place but still a good pizza and good company
| | Pastor (15), Maine | | August 19, 2009 Definitely the place I wanted to eat at while I was in Burlington. Right off Church Street, a view of the city hall. The place was fantastic awesome vibe to the place my Pentecostal Preacher Mom even complemented on the feel of the place in a good way.
The flatbread was outstanding fresh and yummy ingredients. The waitress was friendly, and suggested some of brews for me to try even brought me some free samples. You really got to love that. The tap selection and bottle list were large and the house brews were tasty.
A great place all in all I wish there was one in my home town. The prices were great considering the location they are in. I will return to this place when I am in town the next time.
| | Lubiere (177), Ottawa, Ontario | | August 9, 2009 Holy crap, I never rated this place? Two words: PIZZA and BEER. I am never dissapointed when I come here. The pizzas are superb, original: last time, tried one with buffalo chicken breasts cubes, grated carrots, red onions, and bleu chesse....holy Moses! A majority of high quality homebrews, all above 3s, with interesting quest taps (Paul likes to ge kegs in his abode). Did I mention the pizza? Its good!!!! | bobman006 (1), New Jersey does not count - explanation | | August 1, 2009 [ Updated October 2, 2009 ] Best brewpub in Burlington (sorry VPB). House beers are always satisfying and there is always a good selection from which to choose. The pizzas are flatbread style and are incredible. They are treated with an artisanal approach using the best ingredients and cooked in the hearth located in the dining room section from where they are baked in front of you (depending on where you are facing, of course) and brought right to your table. Service is good whether at a table or at the bar. The place is beautiful inside with a cozy old mill/inn look and feel. The only problem is that it is usually busy, and it can get quite crowded in the bar area during dinner time hours. I really enjoy this place and makes wish I still lived in Burlington so I can go more often! This place is a must visit while in the area. | | LadySusan (77), Ste-Therese, Quebec | | June 8, 2009 This place is a must . The ambiance is beautiful pleasent and comfortable. The service is great. The food outstanding as for the beer well, there is something for every taste..The place is very busy so be ready to wait for a table, but the wait is worth it. | | dnstone (18), Mons, Belgium | | June 3, 2009 The only place you have to go in VT...for beer/food. The flatbreads (pizzas) are amazing...Im not sure how they fit so many little bits of heaven and crack into them, but the do! The beer list is excellent; a variety of guest beers are on tap and bottles, and the house brews dont dissapoint. The atmosphere can’t be beat. A great old brick building with arches, and outside seating. Make this place a priority when visiting Burlington, and make Burlington a priority on your place to visit. | | lalu (11), Morin Heights, Quebec | | May 6, 2009 Ambiance was good and lots of eye candy.
we had a table near the bar which was great, away from all the families that come for supper.Service was decent and they knew the beers.Beer selection was great, but the food menu needs some more items. Not a big fan of the Flatbread even though it tasted allright.Next time i will go for the beer only. | | SFLpunk (11), South Burlington, Vermont | | April 26, 2009 As far as I’m concerned, if you’re in town for the night and are looking for somewhere to have a great brew, some nice food and chat with some folks about beer, life, love or philosophy, Flatbread is your place. The staff is friendly and know about the beers on tap. The list is always changing, and there are a variety of offerings from both in-house and "from beyond." Jeff (Bar manager) and Paul (Head brewer) have done a lot to create the best possible beer bar, with the largest list in the area and the a great collection of rare whiskies and other fine spirits.
Paul is an incredibly talented brewery and never ceases to amaze me with his ability to brew a wide range of styles (English, Begian, German, etc) and nail it every time. He is very to true style but he is not afraid to experiment. Some brewpubs brew beers that cater to the "casual public," and although you will find a couple "session ales" on the list, there is sure to be a beer style up on the | SkyHigh420 (2), does not count - explanation | | March 22, 2009 This is a must visit while in Burlington. Best wood oven pizza i have had, they have the fresheset and most tasty pizza around. Made with fresh local toppings. Excellent beer selection, Zero Gravity Craft brew being the house brewery.
