December 15, 2009 Visited a couple of weeks ago during the Memphis marathon. Fantastic selection, but would love to see a few more stouts on tap. The only thing I didn’t like was that the place was ridiculously smoky. |

July 5, 2009 This is a pretty fun place, located right off of Beal. Didn’t have any of the food, but the selection of brews is nice. Also have several samplers if you just want to taste multiple brews. The best part in my opinion, is that after you’ve enjoyed a night of drinking you can wander down to Dyers about 3 blocks down on Beal and enjoy some great late night munchies |

July 4, 2009 Easy to find location at corner of Peabody and Second. Remodeled older building with patio with tables and stools in the front and main bar inside. Freindly service with good knowledge and very easy on your eyes. Do have over 130 taps and good selection of bottles. I found 5 new beers. Did not have food, but 70 % of space is for food so I assume it is good. Front patio is good place to have a beer, smoke a cigar and watch the street action. Nice location. |

March 7, 2009 Very typical Saucer. Good beer selection. Lots on draft. Lots of bottles. Nice staff and good atmosphere. Cute little girls in sexy little outfits. Their pepperoni pizza slice is huge, not overly greasy, and spicy! My bartender (whitney?) was really nice and let me sample a bunch of things. She also was semi-knowledgable about the beers. I really liked the chess and dominoes they had decorating above the bar. Nice touch. Good luck finding any street parking though... |

February 22, 2009 Visited Saturday February 21, 2009. Service okay - but the waitresses did not seem to be very cheerful. My big complaint is I was excited to taste a few new beers, but when I poured my Stone IPA into the tulip glass (the bartender gave me a shaker, but I asked for a tulip instead) my first smell was that of bleach. Ruined my initial tasting of this beer. The smell was slight, but it no doubt also affected the taste. |

January 26, 2009 Visited in summer 2008 - just off Beale in Memphis. Great selection of taps, fun atmosphere in one of the best party areas in the country. |

March 21, 2008 Stopped in around Christmas time a few years back.Very comfortable place.HUGE selection of beers on tap.I mean a bunch.Prices not bad.Fine looking waitresess dressed in Catholic school uniforms and high stockings with maryjanes.Nice touch.I had 2 or 3 pints of favorites and 2 or 3 new tastes.Didnt eat because I had a dinner spot picked out earlier across the street.Watched a football game on a huge projection screen while getting toasty.Wish there were more of these establishments outside of the South. |

February 22, 2008 Just off Beale Street. Poked my nose in the door and looked at the beer list to decide if I wanted to pay the $3 cover. Decided to keep walking, but the beer list was truly impressive. Lots of selections divided clearly into categories with plenty of selections at decent bar prices... although some of the items seemed a little high. Will be back when I have more time. |

January 16, 2008 Visited here Friday, February 28, 2007, the night before the Liberty Bowl. Easy to find, just a few blocks away from Beale Street. There is a front room with a stage for bands, which might explain the $5 cover to get in. I skipped that and opted for the large back room where the main bar is. First impression.....WAY TO SMOKY. Disgustingly so. Typical Flying Saucer selection, which is extensive, but lacking anything really special or hard to find. I ordered an Old Raspy, but I remember distinctly that I couldn’t really smell or taste it because of the thick cloud of smoke. WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE ALLOW SMOKING IN A BAR THAT IS BASED ENTIRELY ON CRAFT BEER!? Anyways, I switched to the $2.75 special, whatever it was, for my next drink because I couldn’t properly enjoy a really good beer. I won’t be back unless the smoking goes away. |
