The food and beer are both good here. Service is not the best. When you first sit down they are right there asking what you want to drink/eat, but after that they are slow to return to get more drink orders.

The food was great and so was the beer. The staff knew nothing about brewing or the beer they served! They told us the pilsner was a wheat!!! NOT... We had the beer cheese and a pizza. The pizza was really good and matched well with the amber on tap.

This is a pretty good place although Squatters had better beer. I recommend the fish sandwich. It is panini pressed. Average beer here.

I walked down to this place after visiting Squatters as it looked pretty close on my map. Yep, not even 2 blocks away. Place was dead (weekday, around 4:30pm). Had a few woodburning ovens for pizzas and a bunch of chickens on a rotisserie, looked pretty nice. I didn’t order any food however. Had a single pint and got on the road. Looked nice enough that I’d stop by again without thinking twice. The setup kind of reminded me of sushi houses, if that makes any sense.

Had a chance to stop here while in Salt Lake for the holidays and I was sure glad I got to stop. I missed this place last time when I was here for the Great Salt Lake Beer Run and was really kicking myself for missing it. They have a great brewpub feel and style. Just like every other brew pub I have been in and they all look and feel the same. This place was jumping with people. Now for the reason I went the beers. A huge sampler and with there funky Utah booze laws they had to say the sampler of 10 was for the both of us my wife and I. So it was off to the races and chugging the samples. They have light beers to dark beers and all around the 3.2 mark. With the lighter style the 3.2 is no biggie but when it comes to styles that need more malt they tend to come across watery with using less malt. So they have some issues but the beers overall where decent. The service was very good and the server told me some interesting facts about there beers. We had a great time the food was good and plenty. I

Well, I finally made it over to Red Rocks. I sat at a table and ordered a beer, right away I was asked what I wanted to eat. While I was deciding to pick what I wanted to drink the two/three times they kept asking me what I wanted to eat. I did not care for this. It was like if I did not get something to eat I was not welcomed to sit there. I ordered the Red Rocks Burger, first time I had a burger in pita bread, not too bad, but for the price not worth it one bit. I had three beers, the waiter was not around for quite awhile after my last beer, this was kinda pissing me off considering what I went thru to get something to eat. After about 15-20 minutes he show’s up and asked if I wanted another beer or desert, I just wanted my check and leave. This place is over priced big time in my book. Pints are $3.95 and the meals are around $8-13.

I was extremely disappointed with the staff and most offended by the lack of selections on the draft menu. I got the impression I was a bothersome annoyance to the wait staff and the beer tenders. I will say the food had a good quality and taste. Oh and my card got skimmed while visiting Red Rock. so all in all my experience was not good.

As far as SLC beer goes right now, I like Red Rock’s the best. Some of them are spectacular, in particular the Munich Dunkel. The Special Bitter I had a while back was spot on. The Zwickel is awesome as well. One or two of the offerings change pretty often. The food is okay, a little eclectic and mildly interesting, though it’s nothing great. Sometimes I find myself not really wanting anything that’s on the menu.

Very upbeat and lively place with a good menu and the food was quite good. The beers are only okay as they ABV is low and they all taste like soda pop.The service is great tho’

A nice, but busy place to have a drink. Close to the Gateway downtown. A warm ambiance and a nice big bar. The beer is decent....of course we all know about the stupid Utah liquor law, but still they do well. Try the Triple if they have it.
