Squatters @ SLC Airport. Good selection of beer. It’s where I hang out when I have some extra time waiting for my flights.

Visited both of these places on my way to Honolulu in October of ’09. Squatters is excellent. Have at least a half dozen of their beers on tap and also some of their higher gravity selections in bottle. All were middle of the road to above average. Good pub grub on the menu - I had a Greek pizza. Service was prompt and friendly. Wasatch - only had two on tap - their famous Polygamy Porter and a Hefeweizen - had the porter years ago - so chose the Hefe. Not bad for brewpub hefe. Of the two - Squatters is much better.

Visited Squatters location. My first airport pub, so I was astounded. Rather small place with lots of scattered tables. Just walked up and seated myself, and was helped by a waitress (rather overworked, God bless her) immediately. Got a 6-glass sampler for about $5 - fantastic. Their menu looked pretty similar to the one at the Salt Lake City pub location, though I didn’t eat here at the airport. Well worth a stop if you are stuck in the airport for a number of hours like I was. Felt funny to be drinking a sampler around 10am, but what the heck.

Came off my connection flight to Las Vegas and found this Squatters Pub location. Small location with tables on the right and left for tables with a twelve stool bar in the middle with your back to the airport. Freindly service, but clearly a get it quick, I got to go pace. 6 sampler set of beers and others if you have time. All were drinkable and was a good change of pace for airport pubs.

Awesome places to get a well made craft beer prior to flying. Squatters is much bigger, and you can actually get a seat. Good pub food, and about 10 beers, including specials, on tap. I actually got a rating out of the airport, awesome!

Wasatch is located in Terminal D, while Squatters in in Terminal C. Squatters is the one to visit... Wasatch has two of their own taps (Polygamy Porter is one of them), plus a light macro lager, and it’s a small pub with limited seating and a short bar. Squatters, on the other hand, is actually a large airport pub, and they have 8-9 draft selections of their own, plus 1-2 Wasatch taps (also Polygamy porter). I had the Hop Head Red on nitro at the pub, and noticed a decent lineup overall: oatmeal stout, pale ale, pilsner, and more, and the IPA was available in bottles. Funny thing is I visited this pub about 5 years ago and never knew it was on Ratebeer until I flew through SLC again in 2008.

This rating is for Squatter’s Pub in the airport. This was a nice, cozy bar that I really needed when I flew through here. The beer and food were both solid, with the requisite airport prices that you cannot fault them for. I recommend stopping by if you’re flying through.

Pretty good for an airport bar. Not a bad place to have a 5 hour layover in. Had most of the basic beers on tap, food was expensive though. Then again it is in the airport. If you have some time to kill in the Utah airport stop by.

Pretty good for an airport in a state that is hardly known for being quality. Wasatch lacked selection when I was there, but Squatters actually had quite a few on. Good quality... there are much worse airports to spend an afternoon... like any airport in Canada.

The selection at Squatters is more varied, but Watsatch beers are good, so get some exercise and imbibe at both.
