October 14, 2009 I agree with Oakes that it’s rare to find a decent beer paired with decent food around Miami. When I first came a couple months back, they had under 10 beers on the menu. This time that I went, they had 12 taps, all micro brews, and about 40 bottles alongside the standard macro fare. I found a couple of things that were unheard of down here, like the Smuttynose Robust Porter. All bottles are 6 or 7 dollars while bombers are 15. The DFH 120 goes for 18. The food is fantastic (I had an 8 oz burger topped with thick applewood smoked baco, two fried eggs, aged cheddar, and hash browns) but way too expensive. You’d think that if a burger costs $14, it would at least come with chips, or fries or something. But no, that costs extra. You should probably only go during happy hour, where all beers are 1/2 off and some meals are $5. |
October 9, 2009 Burger joint with a decent beer list. A few good ones to choose from, like some IPAs. They didn’t have much interesting on tap when I visited (April 09) but on the whole not a bad stop, since most good beer spots on the beach don’t have food. Round the corner from the Whole Foods. |
