Very dull tap list -- probably a terrific place if you don’t care about getting a decent pint. Some so so Irish imports to be expected and a couple of ok Belgians like Orval make their way onto the bottle llist - just don’t come here looking for any good Canadian beer! The food is quite good and the back patio lovely in the summer. Staff don’t know a whole lot about beer but are very friendly and the service as a whole is good.

Nice place introduced to me by my friends. Staff was fairly friendly, food was good. Had few new ratings there. Bit out of the way when in downtown but worth of visit if in the neighborhood.

I was impressed with this convenient and understated bar, on Dansforth and Broadview. Medium sized, several restaurant tables, mdoerate sized bar with 14 taps, all craft beer, including the in-demand hoppy ones. Sixty bottles listed, the majority craft, including a full selection of Unibroue bottles. Friendly enough, and a bit more laid back than the average Toronto beer. Worth a drop in if you are this Big Carrot health food shopping area.

Can’t believe I haven’t rated this place.. anyhow, possibly Toronto’s best burger available here. Great food in general, lovely building, superb patio in summer and not a bad beer list at all. A really super little restaurant.

Visited on a cold Monday evening back in January, we stopped in for dinner and a couple drinks before our multi-sports night down the road. (I really like the Danforth area: I bought my wedding dress nearby and Grassroots and the Big Carrot are just up the road, amongst other cool shops.) Cozy, dark and neatly arranged, we sat near the back at one of the square checkered-cloth tables. Beer selection is interesting, I oddly picked up an Upper Canada rating here but the others we tried were in good shape too. Food was tasty and quickly served. Great little restaurant, decent beer selection, good to stop by if you’re in the neighbourhood.

Cozy bar/restaurant wth a good selection of taps and bottles. Was pretty quiet when we were in, but had a good time nonetheless. Their website is in need of serious updating... no Rodenbach Alexander in here, that’s for sure. Still worth checking out.

This place does deserve to be on the Toronto metro list, as it is now one of the finest beer bars in the city. A great mix of Ontario micros (both Dennison’s, Mill St. , Black Oak) along side the necessary Irish and imports (this place is Irish owned and patronized heavily). What surprised me was the level of beer knowledge from the bartenders (I played dumb one visit). The food is upscale and top notch, the atmosphere fantastic. You won’t find any hard to get rare beers here (and I wish they would update their website), but I agree with Stephen Beaumont’s recent ranking of this alongside Volo, Smokeless, and Beer Bistro as premiere Toronto beer destinations.

Went there last night with two friends. Food is absolutely amazing. Summertime specials menu where everything is cooked out back on a grill, all meats are organically fed, no preservatives or chemicals added. Large beer selection is written on a blackboard on the wall. Extensive scotch/whiskey selection as well. Started with a McAuslan Apricot Wheat Ale and finished with a Rochefort 8.
