To me the name both the current and former "Cork and Bottle" and Marcello’s Wine say it all. This place is really focused more on the wine movement than that of craft beers. Decent selection but by far not the best in Baton Rouge.

Marcello’s is always my number two stop for beer in BR. The atmosphere is that of your typical upscale-liquor store. The service is pretty knowledgeable, though I’ve gotten funny looks a few times when asking about beers carried by local distributors. Nice selection; if they don’t have the most beers in BR, they certainly have the highest quality. A bit pricey, but nothing out of line. Overall, a very decent store, especially by LA standards.

They have a pretty decent selection, especially given store size. The staff has always been pretty knowledgeable of the beer/wine they have in stock. They have a variety of imports and a few domestic micro-brews. They update their selections fairly often, bringing in new beers and keeping favorites in stock.

For the location this is so far the best place I’ve found for beer selection. While its not a huge selection its still pretty good. I’ve been told that you can ask them to order beer for you, but have not confirmed.

Surprsingly good selection for the area. Has thetypical US Macros and Imports in the coolers and then about 3 or 4 shelves full of Belgians and British ales and a scattering of assorted other countries. Lacking in any variety of US micros however. Still worth a visit if in the Baton Rouge area - found at least a dozen to 15 that I had not yet rated yet - which is rare these days.
