74 I appreciated and enjoyed their original space mush more than the new one. Not quite as intimate. But the food is still solid and the beer selection still strong. |
64 A small place, homey. Many bottles including top notch Belgians. Parking on the street. |
82 This is a cosy little restaurant. The atmosphere in this place makes you feel at home. The service was great and very knowledgeable about beer. The food was well prepared and the presentation great. The beer choices very varied. The prices are a bit high but you do get your money worth. This place is a must . |
78 Visité le 13 juillet 2008 pour souper. Très petit et intime. La sélection de bière est assez bien, surtout si tu es dans le coin (à visité). La nouriture est un peu cher mais très bon. C’est fun des restos comme ça! |
70 Visited on a particularly busy Feb. 14th Fete earlier this year, this cosy little restaurant was packed to the snowy seams with steamy couples and intimate tables and bustling waiters. Delicious fixed-price menu was unfortunately overpriced, but service was friendly enough if muddled (an order mix-up brought us free oysters by mistake) and the beer selection had quality if not size. Not exactly a beer haven but it was a nice change. |
62 Neat little place hippie land. Good food, adequate (but not great) service, only 3 taps - but one of which was Dennison’s, with Quebec and Belgians on the bottle menu. Not a beer destination by any means, but a nice tiny spot for a date. |
64 OLD LOCATION: Went for Valentines day price fix menu. Food was delicious, and the fixed price menu was reasonable for the quality, and quantity but the bill did add up with a few drinks. Beer selection was decent (McAuslan and Fruliy on tap, handful of Belgians and Unibroue products in bottles) but I had hoped for more - got the impression that it had diminished from in the past. Service was friendly and mostly efficient, but perhaps not quite as slick as one might hope for given the price and menu. Room was a bit loud when full but the tables were thankfully farther apart than I have seen in some other places. Good, worth checking out. |
70 Cool ambiance in here and a friendly staff. The food is top notch though I think most people would think that it’s pushing on the expensive side. Beer selection is reasonable, though there isn’t anything very special that other places aren’t bring in. They had Denison’s Weiss, which is always nice, though it was served in a standard pint glass. Interesting that they boycotted American beers two+ years ago because of the war. I’ll likely recommend this place to friends looking for a good meal. |
66 French bistro. Good list of Belgian/Quebec brews. Airy atmosphere, and it's in one of my favourite neighbourhoods (Kesington Market). Not a bar, but when it's brunch or dinner you want... |
