Be warned this is NOT a bar. As a deli goes, though, it’s top notch. The beer selection is pretty good, considering that factor.

This is a deli first market second. I must begin by saying the food is amazing. There isn’t a better deli in the city. Their cuts of meat are always fresh and their serving sizes are huge. As far as beer goes they have only bottles. They sell them individually or let you create a 4/6 pack. The pricing isn’t cheap (~3 a bottle for regular ABV beers) and you can’t drink on premises (they have some picnic tables just outside on the side walk though) but the selection is solid. They are particularly adept at getting sample of hard to find west coast breweries, which is a rarity in the south. If you’re looking for a meal first and some good beer second this is a great place to go.

As good of a beer selection as I’ve seen in Texas/Louisiana. Lots of belgians, including heavy dose of struise, fantome, some 3 font, etc. I didn’t try the food but looked like a really good deli. Zagat rated I believe. Can’t consume on premises but it’s NOLA so just drink on the street. In a pretty good location, within walking distance of quarter on the other side of the CBD. Near to the D-Day museum.
