72 East Toronto; 20 taps, 4 ciders, 1 cask. Flights of 5 beers. Worth a quick stop if walking around east Toronto. Dive bar vibes (reminds me of Elwoods in Vancouver), but a decent tap list. Didn’t look at the bottle/can list, but fridge looks to have a decent number of locals. Would return. Multiple urinals. |

84 Neighborhood bar right around the corner from a subway stop. Long bar, cramped restaurant tables. Heading to the gents I accidentally entered the hostel next door. Varied beer list, all Ontario breweries, pints, half pints or flights of five 3-4 ounce pours (ten bucks for flights). Friendly staff and clientele alike, including Devlin who needs to go to Iceland. Hosts a beer fest periodically. Food is from the pizza place next door. Well worth going out of your way to visit. |
86 Nice looking bar with lots of beer related stuff on the walls. It seems small from the outside, but they have a very large patio and another room in the back. Lots of very good Canadian craft on tap, and a good bottle selection with lots of international stuff. Very friendly and knowledgeable service, they recommended great beers and let me try a few samples. Prices are really cheap for my Dutch standards, though I think there was some special thing going on when we visited. Lots of younger tourist types but nowhere near as crazy as say in Amsterdam. Awesome place really. |
62 Older spot in the east end of Toronto. Pretty solid tap offering and bottle list. |
68 Cool little place with a nice selection of taps and bottles. Guy doing the bar when I was there this afternoon was not the friendliest of staff, but I would probably return anyway. |
70 Unbelievable bottle selection, great Canadian micros on rotating tap, reasonable prices on the taps. Really quaint and cozy place to go with close friends, only issue is the lack of food, luckily there are tons of other places in the area to grab a bite before enjoying a drink. |
82 great spot. Great atmosphere, staff was attentive & knowledgeable. great selection in bottles. Back patio is a great spot tosit with a group & down a few. I’ll be back |
74 Various visits. I thought I had rated this before. The eclectic space has a lot of charm, the space overlaps with the coffee shop next door. Nice patio that I would like to spend more time on but generally has enough smokers on it to push me inside. Tap selection is usually pretty solid, and has a larger bottle list than many comparable places in Toronto, with a mix of imports and locals. Seating is often a premium The long narrow hall past the bar means it can get very cramped when busy, which is likely my biggest complaint. Small patio out front overlooks the Danforth. It is a nice little spot on quieter days but I find it overly cramped when busy for events. I’d probably like it more if I timed my visits better to be honest! Definitely worth a stop when in the neighbourhood though. No/limited food. Bring in a pizza from Big House next door! |
76 Kind of a backpacker dive, but to their credit it is a hostel as well. Big selection of locals and a bottle cellar with older limited releases. Service with a smile, but not beer geeks. Food is questionable and I didn’t eat. Bartender has a bunch of small appliances for food. Prices are decent, but the sampler is a great way to try multiples. Still pricy though. I would come back to raid the cellar with a larger group. |
