Where else can you find such good beer in a bookstore? A good selection, not mind blowing, but respectable. Reasonable prices for the area. Staff are knowledgeable.

friendly waitstaff with good beer knowledge. Interesting menu. Not a huge selection of beers, but all good and across a variety of styles. Lovely setting in the back of the bookstore.

Love just about everything about this place. Great bokstore on Dupont Cirle (great locaion), suprisingly good quality food, good service. But the crowd can be a little too intellect-types who look down their noses at people. But the place had a not too large selection of good quality beers. Wish they had wi-fi though.

Part of Kramer’s Book Store. Geared more toward the wine snobs than the beer geeks. Had some Dogfish Head & Bells on tap when I was there. Lots of pseudo snobs there. Bathrooms are up in the attic, which sucks.

The menu is definitely wine-focused, but the beer list is high quality. Taps are east coast micros and a couple belgian choices. Nice. My Two Hearted tap was pretty close to perfectly fresh. Bottles were all 750’s and bombers. Things like Yeti, Van de Kaizer, and Hennepin. My meal was slightly overpriced, extravagently prepared and presented, but not really that great. Good, though. My server was extremely overstretched, but he was a bit spacey. A good destination if you want a good beer in this neighborhood.

Nice outdoor seating area, but the tables are a little cramped. Decent beer selection, I just drank some Two Hearted, didn’t order any food... wasn’t really here for the beer but rather to just sit on the sidewalk and drink at least a decent beer, and you can’t do that anywhere else really in Dupont Circle. Skip it if you’re visiting for a day or two, but maybe stop in for some good appetizers with some decent beer. The menu looked a lot better than brewery and bar food. I want to come back and eat some pie.

Weird place. It’s a bar/cafe in a bookstore, but you can’t go browsing the books with a pint, or sit down to read while you drink. Aside from that, there’s a good beer selection here. The bar is stuffed in the back and is pretty cramped. Also, you feel like you’re in the way as people are always walking through. There are better places in the city with better selections, but this place is still worth a visit.

Used to go to this place all the time when I lived in DC. Not bad, but very snooty atmosphere and spotty service. Food is good, but the menu changes constantly. Good brews, but a bit on the pricey side. No "beer lover’s" place, but a good compromise when out with the womenfolk.

Walked in here expecting something completely different, but enjoyed the atmosphere. Have a variety of decent beers on tap, but there are a few not-so-decent beers that are too expensive, and limited seating. They also have a few 750ml bottles of varying quality available. Definately expensive, but seems to be a nice place, service is cold and impersonal. The food is definately not good, they put cooked spinach in the quesadillas, who does that?? Some of the sandwiches are ok, but too greasy.

great place to meet geeks and nerds. Books and beer is a good combination that you don’t find everywhere. This is like the beer drinker’s/book lovers version of Starbucks. Had Ommegang Hennepin, Dogfishhead, Allagash and Otter Creek, among others, on tap. 750ml bottles
