beckstein (8), does not count - explanation | | May 7, 2008 These folks will go out of their way to make sure you are happy. If they don’t have what you need, they’ll try their best to help you find it somewhere else. Great people. The ambiance is what it is and they also do a good job in that regard. Ingredients are always fresh and they know their stuff. | | CaptBier (17), Birmingham, Alabama | | March 30, 2008 Kim and his wife are running about the only brewshop in town. That being said, they are extremely friendly and will always help to find what you are looking for. I know that Kim does all-grain brewing demonstrations a once a twice a month but have never been to see one. Their selection for extract or partial mash brewing is adequate but selection for all-grain is somewhat limited due to cost. I have been here about 10-12 times and always walk away happy. Their ingredients are fresh and their advice is always helpful. | | brentfeesh (51), Gadsden, Alabama | | August 22, 2007 If I’m not ordering specialty items on line, or if I need heavy supplies this is the only game in town. These guys have all your basics and are very customer oriented. They really will give you all the individual attention you need (in my experience) and they will try to get you what you need if they don’t have it. They are small, so they don’t have the depth of supplies you might find in a bigger city/beer state; however, they have most of what you are looking for. They also have some wine kits and equipment. |
