Visited on a cold Monday evening back in January, we stopped in for dinner and a couple drinks before our multi-sports night down the road. (I really like the Danforth area: I bought my wedding dress nearby and Grassroots and the Big Carrot are just up the road, amongst other cool shops.) Cozy, dark and neatly arranged, we sat near the back at one of the square checkered-cloth tables. Beer selection is interesting, I oddly picked up an Upper Canada rating here but the others we tried were in good shape too. Food was tasty and quickly served. Great little restaurant, decent beer selection, good to stop by if you’re in the neighbourhood.

Cozy bar/restaurant wth a good selection of taps and bottles. Was pretty quiet when we were in, but had a good time nonetheless. Their website is in need of serious updating... no Rodenbach Alexander in here, that’s for sure. Still worth checking out.

this place has a old school look to it, at 1:00 pm anyway. with mid-age men eating lunch and solving cross word puzzles. the selection is nice and the service is better. i had steam mussels seasonsed with beer and ...., it is so good!

This place does deserve to be on the Toronto metro list, as it is now one of the finest beer bars in the city. A great mix of Ontario micros (both Dennison’s, Mill St. , Black Oak) along side the necessary Irish and imports (this place is Irish owned and patronized heavily). What surprised me was the level of beer knowledge from the bartenders (I played dumb one visit). The food is upscale and top notch, the atmosphere fantastic. You won’t find any hard to get rare beers here (and I wish they would update their website), but I agree with Stephen Beaumont’s recent ranking of this alongside Volo, Smokeless, and Beer Bistro as premiere Toronto beer destinations.

Went there last night with two friends. Food is absolutely amazing. Summertime specials menu where everything is cooked out back on a grill, all meats are organically fed, no preservatives or chemicals added. Large beer selection is written on a blackboard on the wall. Extensive scotch/whiskey selection as well. Started with a McAuslan Apricot Wheat Ale and finished with a Rochefort 8.
