6 reviews for Archipelago Brewery Company
| Borresteijn (55), Amsterdam, Netherlands | | October 25, 2009 Visited on a friday evening during an 8hr layover in Singapore, right after visiting Brewerkz, which is a 10min walk from here. Nice open bar in an area filled with bars and restaurants. Dark interior, looks very stylish and classy, soft music in the background (although I don’t think R&B fits tasting beer). We had tasters of all 6 beers from tap for S$20,-, which is about €10,- or US$15. Really interesting beers, good flavours and definitely a lot more adventurous than the Brewerkz range. I had no food here, but what I saw on the plates of others looked promising. | | nate2g (154), Brisbane, Australia | | September 25, 2009 Perhaps the best beers in the city, Archipelago serves up a tasty, diverse range of brews here. It can get busy on a weekend night but I had no trouble getting a seat at the bar, and the staff are well accommodating. A real nice place to kick back and have a few beers and friendly people around. I’d be here often if I lived in the city. | | lgklotet (14), Singapore, Singapore | | May 13, 2009 Right next to one of the main tourist streets in SP, this place is on a corner with a large bar and old disused brewery-equipment. The beers are fresh and really tasty. The IPA delivers hops to homesick palates and the quirkier spiced ales work surprisingly well. Food is greasy (as it should be) and portions are large. Staff is courteous if a little on the green side.
The actual brewery is not on this site, it’s apparently in the outskirts of the town, however, this is one of their main outlets.
A favourite I’ll come back to. Much better ambience than Brewerkz. | | tomciccateri (37), Albuquerque, New Mexico | | August 11, 2007 Easily reachable by taxi at all hours. Doors/windows open to fully reveal the adjacent streets and sidewalk seating. Triangular-shaped bar with a half-dozen taps and shiny copper brew vessels behind the bartender. Silent TVs with sports. Nice Asian food platters. Friendly staff, mostly non-local crowd. Very pleasant. | | fiulijn (198), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy | | June 26, 2007 [ Updated October 31, 2007 ] This place looks more iAsian/i than the other Brewerkz and Paulaner, it’s a bar completely open to the street a very nice place in Singapore the beers are not bad, with an original touch, by using spices. | | highlandlad (37), Sydney, Australia | | October 6, 2006 A stylish new bar in Singapore’s touristy Boat Quay area serving the brewer’s new range of beers. At time of writing, these were only available on draught here but they should be bottled by the end of 2006. The spiced beers have been brewed with food pairing in mind, and the menu offers suggestions. More limited edition brews are planned for the future. |
