RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
The best beer store on the Maryland side of the DC suburbs.

| FatguyRacer | Good selection but not great. I thought the selection was much better at Corridor. The bottle of Czechvar i bought was 14 months past its drinkby date. I did manage to find 1 or 2 there that Corridor didnt have. But thats not enough for me to go out of my way again.
Update to rating: I must not have been looking too hard the first time in. I went back because its next door to a good hobby shop. I found the rest of the beer and was surprised by the selections of English brews and how much less they charge for Belgian singles than Corridor. I have changed my ratings to reflect this.

acrdz | I couldn’t seem to find the good beer, it was in the back behind stacks of Rolling Rock, so it took me a minute to find the bombers and singles, but the selection was pretty good for regional micros. Had some Cantillon as well, a few trappist bottles. Peggy, the beer manager, was a great help, knew all about the new releases and what to expect at the store soon. Prices are much better than in DC, so I’ll make my way out here again.

hoplover406 | I echo the sentiment of all the raters below. Peggy is very nice and helpful. They have a very good selection of domestics, with fewer Belgian and German beers represented. However, they do have Rochefort, and Celebrator and the best selection of Allagash I have seen anywhere! They must have had eight different Allagash ales. Excellent selection of Weyerbacher and Unibroue. A great place to find a wide variety of craft beer and it’s in Laurel?.....weird!!

illinismitty | I semi hole it the wall liquor store tucked in the corner of an outdated strip mall. Decent beer selection, including a wall of reasonable priced singles. Green Flash, Jolly Pumpkin, FFF, DFH, Bear Republic, etc. Maybe I have been to way to many bottle shops, but my expectations were a little higher. I was hoping to see a lot more. Perhaps I stopped in at a bad time. But this place is still worth a visit if you are in the area. I understand that a ratebeerian or two have been assisting them as to what beers to carry, so I would imagine that the selection will get better

MrBendo | This hole in the wall beer store really surprises you. They have FFF, Bear Republic, Jolly Pumpkin and a lot of local brews. Singles section is pretty complete. I always make the trip whenever I go to Baltimore.

beachbum25 | Finally able te get here & see what all the fuss is about. This place delivers-Great selection of quality beers-they only have the good stuff-not tons of mediiocre beers. DFH, Victory,Clipper City, Three Floyds, Dominoin, Troegs, Jolly Pumpkin, ect...Lots of imports, Pleanty of very highly rated beers, Made you want to just fill up a shopping cart!! Selection changes often; good simgles selection. Very helpful-Peggy offered to try & track stuff down if I was looking for it-"just give us a call"!!

ryan | This is my regular bottle shop. The best selection and prices in the area. Peggy, who handles the beer, is very helpful and will go out of her way to track something down for you. Lots of singles available. Great selection of whats available in Maryland. Great Divide, Jolly Pumpkin, Avery, Weyerbacher, Smuttynose, Troegs, DFH, Brooklyn, FFF, Victory, Clipper City, Orval, Rochefort, Fantome, Westmalle, some Cantillon and De Dolle when they can get ’em. If they carry a brewer, they will generally carry everything they can get from them. Very good prices with occasion sales. Highly recommended.

argo0 | The selection changes fairly often, and prices are good. It’s a bit out of the way from DC, but worth dropping in a couple of times a year, especially since it has some beers that are distributed in MD but not DC or VA.

jeffin7 | Very nice selection. Somehow they manage to get stuff I can’t get anywhere else in the area. They regularly have Apis Jadwiga. They have a nice local, domestic, and import sixpack selection. The also have a lot of singles for sale. They almost always have the latest seasonal from the better east coast breweries. And the prices are pretty reasonable. One of my regular shops.
