November 16, 2009 A very fun store to visit. AHS guys all know what they’re talking about and are a great help to find what you need or just to figure out how to brew something. They know their way around mead and wine, too, which is a plus. They have a massive selection of supplies and everything they have is very well-stocked - I’ve never had issues finding the ingredients I want. Prices are pretty reasonable on most things, although a few things are higher than they should be. This is a smart beer store, and it’s always a pleasure to visit and explore. |

September 4, 2009 Recently made my first order from Austin Homebrew Supply.
It was a great experience. It took a few minutes to get familiar with the website. The grains are divided into bulk and smaller orders areas, and your promted to order grains in recipe groups. Once I figured it all out ྯ minutes) it was a pretty well designed site.
I entered my recipies (down to the ounce, a money saver), and they milled them into a single bag. I was making 2 complex recipies, and I had to make no substitutions (which is a common headache for me).
$7.99 shipping if your not in a hurry saved me as well.
I will definetly use Austin for my next grain order. |

July 18, 2009 I’m cheating on the ambiance because I haven’t visited the physical score, but otherwise experiences have been stellar - as others attest, customer service is top notch, selection is among the top two or three for online supplies (and may be number one!) with prices that tend to beat the others, sometimes significantly, and there are some nice little personal touches - flat shipping, ability to get extract in fractional amounts and mixed together. Shipping was super quick and they understand light and heat to be enemies of all things beer. Big score! |

June 18, 2009 Absolute best homebrew shop I have ever been to. Very knowledgeable and WELCOMING (this seems to be a big problem in other homebrew shops I find) staff. Willing to talk to you, answer questions. Great stuff |

March 6, 2008 Great staff!!! I don’t brew (yet) but this must be Austin’s haven for local brewers. Very knowledgeable staff that genuinely get excited for people’s interest in beer. Used to go a few times a month for CO2 refills before I got really into beer and they were always nice and never pretentious. A great store! |

January 8, 2008 This is definitely the best homebrew supply that I’ve seen. The selection is tremendous. They have pretty much any malt, hop or yeast you would need. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It can get a bit busy sometimes, especially on the weekends but it’s worth the wait. |

June 30, 2007 Great shop here. I. too, live in the Dallas area and can actually get fresher ingredients/more selection from their web site. Ground shipping gets it here next day. Outstanding selection and their pre-formulated recipes (at least the two that I’ve tried) are terrific! The one time that I had to call them, they were very friendly and helpful and I wasn’t even a customer at the time. Their packaging is outstanding. All grains packed tightly to measure in separate bags, teh hops are vacuum packed in bags that are not transparent (the sort of mirror finish you see on antistatic bags electronic components are shipped in) Ice packagaed up with the yeast. It seems every precaution was taken! Competitively priced and flat shipping rate make this place my primary supplier for all things brewed. |

December 29, 2006 Very friendly and helpful...I’m not a brewer, but they talked to me about my kegerator and offered advice and filled my CO2 tank for me. |
