| arventresca (24), Greenville, North Carolina | | August 23, 2009 In a plaza in Ellicott City. Had some wings and sampled the beers. Not bad. Others in the party liked the food. A nice time was had by all. | themadmumis (6), Westminster, Maryland does not count - explanation | | December 26, 2007 Went on a Thursday night, coming back from Maryland Home Brew in Columbia. Stopped at the pub and enjoyed a meal and a brew... nothing too special just another brew pub with ’crafted’ brews. I can’t find much on their brews and I didn’t sample anything that stands out. If you’re in the area, check it out. | | Aurelius (89), Tallahassee, Florida | | December 9, 2006 Clean. Crowded on a Friday night. BBQ was OK, but indistinct and somewhat bland. Beer is bland to bad. Service was dodgey and beer-ignorant. The sampler included ’some DFH ale’ according to the waitress, and Blue Moon. Prices were OK for the food. FOR GOODNESS SAKES IF YOU’RE IN THE AREA AND WANT TO GO TO A BREWPUB, DRIVE 1 MILE DOWN TO ELLICOTT MILLS BREWERY!!!! | | beachbum25 (53), Powellville, Maryland | | December 3, 2006 Found this place quite enjoyable on a Friday night. Was quite crowded, but we got a seat in the bar right away. Four beers on tap; tried two. They were pretty good, solid but not great, certainly better than BMC stuff; food was good pub grub. Ribs were very good, fall off the bone tender. Wings & Chili were good also. I don’t think I would go here just for the beer, but if you are looking for a good place to eat with some beers you can enjoy, I’d definately recomend this place. Live music on Saturdays, had a DJ when we were there playing classic rock-was a little loud. | | TheBeerLover (31), DC Metro Area, | | April 18, 2006 BBQ and beer? Can it get any better? If you like good craft beer, and some pretty tasty BBQ, Bare Bones is a wise choice if you find yourself in the Ellicott City, MD area. I’ve visited this place on a few occasions, and have always been impressed with the quality of the craft beer, and choices. You will find a solid line up, and some nice rotating seasonals. BBQ has always been delicious, and BBQ and good craft beer is a match made in heaven. |
