I love this place. Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had and always have a great selection of local beers as well as imports. The beers are always rotating so you keep coming back to try more. Tons of bottles to choose from too. All the beers are listed on a menu with complete descriptions of what to expect if you order one.

May not be able to give it an honest rating given that it was a very cold and snowy night when we visited, just after New Year’s and there were few folks there. I really like the different Barley’s taprooms so very cool that they are all in wonderful old buildings with cultural/archetectural significance. Service could have been better the night we were there, but again ... timing could have had something to do with it. Will definately go back next time we’re in Asheville. Lots of nice local North CArolina brews on tap which, really, isn’t that what we’re looking for when we visit?

A lot of local craft beer on tap with knowledgable staff and one of the best chicken parm sandwiches I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back.

More taps than I’ve ever seen. All craft, most local. Good food. Busy but good service. What more could you ask for?

The thing I enjoy about Barley’s is the great array of local brews on tap. Of 26 American taps, 17 are from NC breweries bravo! (there is also a German tap, currently Ayinger Brau-Weisse). 42 bottles round out the selection (and I believe there are a few more taps upstairs). This is by no means the widest selection of beers available in Asheville, but hey you can only drink one beer at a time, right?
A wonderful atmosphere. We got to hear top-shelf local bluegrass on a Tuesday night, free of cover. Good food (nachos), and the waitstaff is excellent. Not too smoky, either most of the smokers head upstairs.

Good local selection. No macro crap on tap. Bartender upstairs more knowledegable about beer. Food was fair. Decent place to get a draft beer.

My favorite place to visit everytime I am in town. Restaurant and bar downstairs and another bar and about 4 pool tables upstairs. Pizza is pretty darn good too. This place has the most NC brews on tap in the state. Good service, friendly people. Highly Recommended.

Pretty big place, with different beers on tap upstairs and down. Tried a bunch of Pisgah, French Broad, and Foothills beers here. Nice atmosphere, with a seemingly good crowd. The bartenders seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about the beer, and nothing seemed overpriced. The pizza was pretty good as well. Seems like a great place to have dinner and try new local stuff on tap. I enjoyed it.

Barleys has always been a great place for beer and food. With around 50 taps there is always a nice selection. While they always have a lot of local brews they do get some from all over the country and world. There is a nice laid back atmosphere but it can definately get crowded with waits for food not uncommon.
If all you want is beer head upstairs for a different tap selection. While smoking is allowed it is rarely smoky except at peak busy periods.
I tend to get the same bar tender who is very knowledgeable and friendly.
Since NC changed it beer laws they also now get high gravity beers which disapear quickly and are only poured in 10 oz glasses.
The pizza is great.
The only thing I would like to see iproved is the bottled beer selection which is a bit ordinary. Of course Asheville has other places for that.
I used to drive 110 miles to go here so it is safe to say I like the place alot.
