86 So-so drafts but a seriously spectacular cellared bottle list makes up for it. I like places that do cellared bottles. I had a Fuller's vintage here from the mid-2000s.
Visited in May, 2018. Bartender was highly lively too and claimed that Bret Hart stops by every time he's in town. |
70 Visited in July 17 a couple of times. The beer list is quite good and the flights any 3 for 6 bucks great value. I chose the Big Tug, Zodiak from omnipollo, could not believe I hadn’t had that and the only non Canadian beer of my trip, third was a candian impy I think. All solid beers, some f the others on the list seemed a bit standard. Service was good at the bar, until the bar man accidentally served a young female tramp a lager and then realised the mistake and had to confiscate her drink forcibly and exit her in a neck lock. |
72 If Bay Street finance types don’t make you feel ill then this place is worth checking out.
Ample draft selection along with fairly impressive bottle collection. Very high markup, but goes with the neighborhood.
Top 5 burgers I’ve had in my lifetime and I’m an overweight man who has spent years in SF and NYC. So, yeah. Very nice juicy medium rare that worked well with the homemade American cheese (btw not Kraft singles like when the Americans use the term).
I’m no connoisseur in terms of coffees but their espresso is not stellar, but I would say remarkable.
Friendly, attentive (but not overly so) service and if you’re conscious about prices you can have yourself a fantastic dining experience for a reasonable amount.
Will definitely be returning. |
76 Stopped for a quick beer(s), selection is ok- few locals and some other non interesting international brews. They serve flights of 3 and you can sit at the bar without ordering food. Overall nice, perhaps the food is better. |
84 Very nice restaurant, styled after a typical Belgian bistro. Tap selection was perfectly alright, but the bottle menu is probably the one to go for... Some great beers on that list. Food was also excellent. Worth a visit. |
64 This place is a bit dated in decor, but does offer an excellent food menu. The beer list is fairly extensive, however, it’s a mish mash of widely available bottles and cans with some LCBO private order offerings. a bit pricey too. |
72 Large bar filled with businessmen. Good tap selection, good value beer flight available, professional service. Bottle list leans more towards imports and is quite overpriced. Food looked quite fancy and yummy but didn’t get the chance to try. Decent place for a flight or so even though you may feel a bit out of place without a necktie. |
70 Big open space, very upscale. Bar area is a little more relaxed. Lots of bottles, although nothing too crazy. Decent number of taps with some range, but again, nothing you can’t really find elsewhere. |
78 Bright and spacious bistro in downtown Toronto. It’s upmarket yet retains a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a few beers. Decent tap selection with slightly high prices. The bottle list is impressive with vintages and a good Belgian range. Bar staff were professional and had good knowledge about the beers. I didn’t eat but full menu available. Nice patio. Definitely worth a look. |
