| Nate (197), Indiana, Pennsylvania | | December 7, 2009 Picked up a few bottles here to take back with me and to France, including a few Xmas beers, some Malheurs, and a Cuvee Rene Kriek. Prices were reasonable and comparable to other Bruges shops. Proprietor was friendly and knowledgeable. A good shopping experience, and not much more to say. | | jfb (18), Weihenstephan, Germany | | September 11, 2009 The selection here is probably the best in Bruges, but the prices reflect the nearness to the marketplace. The service is ok and answered all our questions, but not really talkative (probably due to all the tourists walking in and out). Big selection of glassware. I’d only visit for some of the rare stuff you can’t get elsewhere is Bruges. | | vanderputten (11), , Belgium | | July 26, 2009 situated near the marketplace of Bruges, very friendly owner with a good knowledge of belgian beers, nice list (commercial brews) at reasonable prices but not cheap !worth visiting ! nice selection of books ! | | marcus (91), Sacramento, California | | July 16, 2009 This shop is conveniently located near the main square. It is affiliated with the nearby restaurant/bar Cambrinus and they stock most of the beers served at the bar. Not too many extemely rare brews, but most of the good ones. | | mabel (134), Toronto, Ontario | | March 22, 2009 Visited mid-afternoon on a slow Tuesday last March, we bought several boxes worth of amazing beers here. Selection is really good, much more than we could have hauled home (despite certainly wanting to). Service was friendly and helped package up the boxes and even held on to them while we walked around the town for the afternoon and came back later to pick them up. Great stop. | | fata2683 (23), Panama City, Florida | | March 21, 2009 Good bottle shop with a decent selection, some hard to find bottles. Carries beers from all regions of Belgium. Prices on the high side but not too bad, I think I saw a Lou Pepe Framboise for 11 euro. Still one of the better options in the area. | | SHIG (81), Aviano, Italy | | November 19, 2008 I was able to stop off on my way home from the Brugge Bier Fest here. This place is located pretty close to the city center, which is nice when visiting that historic part of town. The downside of this location is that it’s hard to find parking very close. Plenty of parking garages within a few blocks though. The selection was outstanding with plenty of Westvleteren 12s, Struisse beers, and a decent selection of Christmas seasonal beers. They supplement their selection with decent variety of lambics, fruit beers, and locals not found elsewhere in Belgium. There was also a nice selection of packaged beers and glassware. The down side I believed is that some beers that really are not that interesting are way over priced. I really don’t see many people paying high prices for common beers, which can be found at normal drink store or supermarket. The service was exceptional and he seemed very knowledgeable of what they had to offer patrons. I would recommend this place for the advide beer hunter.
| azlondon (8), Fribourg, Switzerland does not count - explanation | | September 16, 2008 Very central, quite good selection of Belgian beers, and quite cheap. Good service - helped me find some good 300-beers, and ended up buying around 20 bottles from them. Mis-sold some bottles, and some expired over a year ago (but hadn’t gone bad). Overall quite good, though. | | shrubber85 (59), Wallhalben, Germany | | July 11, 2008 The most cramped of the main stores but that makes it easier to scan the shelves. Again - close enough to the market, the Bottle Shop and 2be that you have to go to all three. | | gary07734 (23), , England | | June 13, 2008 Good selection and reasonable prices. Sells lots of glassware and I would guesss around 250 beers. All three Westvleterens were available when I visited and a few aged beers including Achel. |
