Stopped by today on the way back from the hinterlands for a bite and a beer. The place is a pretty cool restaurant set up with decent food (at least the burger was good), a limited, but decent tap list of house stuff and VooDoo bombers. Service was OK, but a bit slow... still, it was Friday evening. All in all, it’s a decent place to stop if you’re in the area. You can get growlers for around 8 bucks with 5 for the glass. Didn’t think to ask if they only fill their own...

The old 4 Sons Building is still the same but that is about all that remains of the enterprise. I had the 7 beer sampler served on their paddle but found only 3 of the beers to be up to 4 Sons standards. I realize these are different owners and brewer but the beer just isn’t as good. As for the food, my wife loved her Brew Burger with carmelized onion and all the fixings and her order of pub fries. I had their Northern Bean and Sausage soup with oregano, and I mean a LOT of oregano, too much. It overwhelmed the flavor of everything else. So I’m kinda split on my rating of the food. Still a great local place to take the family with a wonderful atmosphere and fair pricing.
