pnista (5), Bloomington, Indiana does not count - explanation | | April 17, 2009 I’m only 3 batches into homebrewing, and I’ve only bought equipment and ingredients from this one homebrew shop, so I might not know what I’m talking about. However, the people who work here really seem very knowledgeable about brewing, brew themselves, and are exceedingly helpful! I’m guessing they have to know a thing or two about wine as well, but I’d be surprised if they knew more about wine than homebrewing! I haven’t had to make many substitutions on my recipes, except where the size of containers have changed. | | EithCubes (76), Indiana | | March 21, 2009 Started 25+ years ago as a tasting room and store to unload Butler’s wine, with but a small space for homebrewing supplies, which has since expanded to dominate the store. Your best bet in Bloomington and the surrounding area for supplies, ingredients, kits, equipment. Prices usually beat those in Indy but they sometimes can’t match the huge bulk movers like Midwest or Austin. Fun, friendly service that loves to answer questions. Easier to park in one of the neighboring businesses’ lots (e.g. CVS, Big Red) and walk for ten seconds. |
