| boFNjackson (57), Portland, Oregon | | October 30, 2009 Smaller than Belmont Station. Oregonians go here to get the good stuff not available just right across the border. Mostly a large selection of Southern Tier and Lost Abbey/Port really make this shop stand out. I’ve only been once and emptied my wallet out there, look forward to many returns. | | JoeTheYounger (20), California | | July 9, 2009 Drove by randomly and decided to stop by. Glad I did! This store was cool. They are dedicated to only craft beer and everything was chilled. There was so much stuff there that I wanted to buy. The guy that worked there was really cool, and I met some other cool people that were really into good beer. If I lived in Vancouver, I would go to the place all of the time. | | Beardface (35), Eugene, Oregon | | May 14, 2009 Location was a little hard to find, with the sign being set pretty far back from the street, but once inside I found nothing here to disappoint. The lady who ran the place was extremely friendly, willing to not charge me sales tax and pretty much sat on the edge of her seat ready to help us out. The selection was great, though there were a couple of Southern Tier beers I had hoped to try that I couldn’t find. I left here with bombers of Southern Tier Gemini, Port Shark Attack and Hot Rocks Lager and Left Hand Smoke Jumper Porter. All excellent beers that helped solidify my opinion of this place. | | jbrus (110), Delft, Netherlands | | May 8, 2009 Very friendly guy with lots of beers in his shop. Right next door of Salmon Creek. As a European it’s to qualify of course as there were loads en loads of beers I never rated. But I made a WA + OR wish list before I went and found a few from that list so I liked it a lot. | msc51671 (1), , Washington does not count - explanation | | January 6, 2009 Great little bottle shop with excellent service and a decent selection. The prices were a little high but still well worth checking them out. | | after4ever (126), Brier, Washington | | November 17, 2008 Kind of a rough setting; business district but not a hopping one. Salmon Creek Brewing is right next door, which is too cool, but the remodeling for the place isn’t finished. Or at least doesn’t feel that way. Prices could be better, even for a bottle shop, but they’re not unfair. Plenty of WA and OR beers, decent European selection of all the old familiars. Super, super nice staff--thanks, Angelo. Caught a couple things off the shelves. Happy to hit this place when in town, but, well, that’s not often.
| discoverbeer (1), , Washington does not count - explanation | | October 13, 2008 Top Notch Beer Store! The owners and their staff are passionate about their beer and their store. Great selection across the board, local, regional and imports all represented here. 20 UV safe cooler doors keep the selection properly chilled. Heck you needed to wear a jacket inside the store it was so cool. I was told they have beer tastings every few weeks and I hope to make the next one. Highly Recommend | beernerd (1), Vancouver, does not count - explanation | | August 30, 2008 This is a great beer store. If you are looking for a Belgian or something hard to find, this is the place to go. If they don’t have it, and it can be found they will get it for you. Great staff, and only quality beers. This store is a gem and I highly recommend it. Definitly on par with Belmont Station and Johns, and much more helpful. | | stchloe (19), Portland, Oregon | | July 31, 2008 The friendliest staff of any beer shop. They know their stuff, tastings all the time, and just a cozy store peruse the coolers. Very solid selection, it is possible to find some rarer Washington and Idaho ales. Smaller store so lacks the overall width of variety of Johns Market or Belmont Station. And it is out in Vancouver. But still go there if you are passing through. | | troopie (40), | | March 29, 2008 A Neighbourhood grocery specialising in beer. Friendly and knowledgeable people who really like beer. Selection not to be compared with John’s Market or Belmont station, but they have empty coolers and room to grow. They have beers, like Sierra Nevada brown and some Washington state micros, that aren’t found south of the river. Good selection of Eastern European beers and Belgians.
If you live in Vancouver, look into this place. If you are passing by downtown Vancouver, stop in. |
