| mattcoats (18), Norman, Oklahoma | | March 23, 2007 Great bar food and the home brews, while inconsistent, are usually on the good side of things. | | Braudog (441), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates | | November 19, 2006 November ’06. Cozy brick-clad restaurant and bar with a retro sports bar theme. I was entertained by the entire history of OU stretching the length of the bar. Their menu consisted of BBQ, 14" pizzas and other "standard" brewpub fare. My burger was excellent, the bartender was friendly & knowledgeable, and both beers I tried were pretty good. | | troyc (67), Lubbock, Texas | | August 18, 2006 I’ve been here a few times. It’s always pretty good. The beers generally are not that great, but definitely not bad either. The food is always great. The BBQ is amazing and the pizzas are good as well. (Note: Last week they were doing maintenence in the place and only 3 of their beers were on tap.) | lilannie (8), State College, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | July 2, 2005 Good place to go after work for $1 pints during happy hour. The food is decent (pizza, burgers, bbq), but the bbq sauce is too sweet (go down the street to the other bbq place instead) and they serve your meat drenched in it. I’ve been there on some days and gotten quick service (esp. when I sit at the bar), but sitting at a table, it has been russian roulette. The selection of beers is alright for a place like this (the usual stout, ipa, porter, amber, and wheat), but their specials are generally great; right now they have a super rasberry amber. | | Terminus (145), Illinois | | August 20, 2004 stoped here with Mjames on my last day of my vacation. not a bad place-decent beer and good atmosphere. if i lived there, this would be a regular place. cant beat .93 cent pints at happy hour!!! | | acrdz (544), Boulder, Colorado | | May 4, 2004 This is my regular happy hour destination. What can possibly beat $1 pints of the IPA and stout every evening? The food is better than average bar food, but nothing spectacular. Lots of BBQ dishes, burgers, sandwiches and pizza. Every so often they will have specials on pizza, like 1/2 price for a month. That is when this place is really worth it... but cmon... $1 house pints? I wish more places would do this. I usually sit at the bar, which only has about 7 seats, but the service is much quicker than when dining. Across from the restuarant and bar is the pool hall with its own bar, big screens and smoking areas. The restaurant and bar recently banned smoking except for in the pool hall, which was a welcome change. The only complaint I have is that the owner won?t let the brewer experiement more with the lineup. |
