| Tmoney99 (209), Cincinnati, Ohio | | September 4, 2008 Parking in lot behind building. Clean older building with bar in center with tables for food and beverages in the back and strairs down to Huber Haus. Thirty standards taps with New Belgium $2.50 pints on Wednesday. All were good drinkable brews. Freindly bartender with good knowledge of brews. The menu had starters and sandwichs. Nice location and I will stop again when I am in Omaha. | | eaglefan538 (90), Wilmington, Delaware | | January 18, 2008 A wonderful stop in Omaha before commuting from the Airport to my final destination. Be sure to look up Sledge Jr on your way through town! The atomsphere was festive during the March Madness tourney in March 07 w/ Creighton pulling their own weight in their matchup. The beer selection is incredible at the Crescent Moon, and if you can’t find something you like (even a variety of locals from Nebraska), then you’ve got issues. The owner even stopped by and made for some conversation, a guy worth supporting with your dollars. Despite the location and college clientelle, this place didn’t come off as a college atmosphere (short of the ball game on TV). The food was stellar too! Stop, drink, and eat when in Omaha! | | pinkzambia (41), Boise, Idaho | | October 10, 2007 If I lived in Omaha, this would be my regular place. It has a great, causal, neighborhood feel. A few booths, a bunch of tables, a couple TV’s and a lot of beer on tap and in the bottles. The food was good and each night they have great specials. I got the Wednesday night special cheeseburger and fries for 4.95 and the the beers on tap were discounted as well. The server was friendly. Next time I am in Omaha, I will be here again! | nickspies (3), Omaha, Nebraska does not count | | September 18, 2007 A nice change of pace from typical bars. Great environment for having a beer after work, to meet friends, or to watch a Thursday night college football game after school. The staff is great, and the service can’t be beat. My home away from home. | cornhusker01 (1), Omaha, Nebraska does not count | | February 11, 2007 The Crescent Moon Ale House (of which Huber Haus is a part) has a bar for almost any drinker; be it a German Beer Hall or a contemporary setting. It is all non-smoking which I love and their Beertopia store gives you the ability to take some of your favorite brews home with you. This is one of my new favorite places.
| | pet3rman (11), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | February 6, 2007 [ Updated January 8, 2008 ] Lots of German drafts. Great German beer hall downstairs. Excellent hot wings. Nice place. | moa (1), Omaha, Nebraska does not count | | January 26, 2007 I met my fiance there, have for the last 6 years met my friends every Thursday for wings and Boulevard Wheat. The Huber House is like home, and Beertopia (the attached beer store) is where I bought the Rochefort 8 I am currently drinking. | RedHaze (7), Where the hell am I?, Nebraska does not count | | January 15, 2007 The staff is always very friendly, and usually remembers you, and want you tend to enjoy on repeat visits. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with the staff, and they can usually suggest something I may be interested in based on what they know I like. It’s usually not overly crowded, unless it’s Oktberfest season, or there’s some kind of free tasting going on, which happens from time to time.
There aren’t very many taps, maybe seven I think, but they continually change, which keeps the options fresh. They also have a cooler with a pretty good selection of German beers, including a couple Eisbocks and Rauchbiers to choose from.
In the Huber-Haus they really only have some German appetizers, but you can order food from upstairs (Crescent Moon). The food is pretty standard bar food, but it’s pretty good, especially the BBQ bacon burger and Chicken Caesar Salad. Overall the value is really good.
This is my favorite place in Omaha to sit and have a few beers, with friends and family alike. When I’m not out of town for work I usually stop in here about once a week to just sit back and eat, drink and not think about work . | Jed (4), Omaha, Nebraska does not count | | December 19, 2006 This is my favorite place in the Country to drink craft brews. The food is fantastic for pub grub. The place is where anyone from any background can hang out. People drive from all over the city and some as far as 50 miles away to be at the Crescent Moon on a regular basis. A choice of over 30 Micros on tap will surely please at least most people that drink there. The point here is no matter who you are or what you like; you’ll feel at home at the Crescent Moon. | | kitschy (22), Nebraska | | November 25, 2006 [ Updated July 26, 2008 ] The Crescent moon continues to expand with the recent addition of Max and Joe’s, a new party and overflow room done up in vintage 50s and 60s beer decor. The Huber Haus bier hall downstairs is one of the best in the midwest, complete with the polka tunes of the Barry Boyce trio at least once a month. | View Page : 1 2
