7 reviews for Dinosaur Bar-B-Que
| j12601 (52), Poughkeepsie, New York | | November 25, 2009 Probably rating this a bit higher than I would if it was primarily a beer joint. But it’s a bbq place. Stopped in here with my partner for lunch on the way to Canada... service started out well, but after we were done eating we sat waiting for at least 10 minutes before our server came back to ask if we wanted our bill. Wouldn’t have been as bad except it was a bit empty, and from where we were sitting we could see 13 (I counted) other employees. Flight of 4 beers for $4 (or close to it) is a great deal, but I had trouble finding four beers I wanted. Food was mediocre at best. | | swoopjones (115), Buffalo, New York | | November 3, 2009 great biker like atmosphere. Great decor. Big BBQ menu. lots of sides. Food was good BBQ. Very filling. Decent service. ok draft selection Middle ages heavy | | mabel (134), Toronto, Ontario | | August 22, 2009 Visited on a busy Friday night before BCTC in July, we waited about ten minutes for a table for four. There was a dedicated table caller at the entrance who made it very organized, which was necessary for a place that seats about 200 people. Several rooms sprawled across the property, all open and dark and full of paraphernalia on the walls (like dirty street names and old advertisements of buxom blonds), where one wall had a mural of a T-rex. Very tasty pork sandwiches followed along with a couple samples of local brews. We may have been a little boisterous in our excitement for the weekend: our closely packed neighbours were clearly listening into our conversation. Service was initially cold but warmed up by the end of our orders, finishing with a hearty "Have a nice day!" Very interesting bar, would return. | jezmez68 (5), Chesterton, Indiana does not count - explanation | | May 14, 2009 I would probably agree with the three other reviewers here (at the time) that this is strictly a BBQ joint. Great BBQ selection of food. However, I didn’t think that thier selection of beers was TOO shabby. I can’t remember what all they had on tap, but if you’re coming from the midwest, they had at least the Magic Hat #9, and the seasonal, which was the Jinx. I really liked the Jinx. They also had a Lagunitas IPA at the time. Considering that around the country, you have to settle for cold American lager, the choices were decent. However, I am looking forward to trying Blue Tusk, Middle Ages or Clark Street Ale House the next time I roll into Syracuse. | | IPFreely (92), Lewiston, New York | | May 16, 2008 Definitely one of the best BBQ places I’ve ever been to. Killer ribs, brisket, chicken, etc. Beer selection is a bit better than most restaurants. There are a few things worth drinking, but I would not stop here as a beer destination. The food is awesome, and having some decent beer to drink with it is definitely a plus. | | hoplover406 (24), Crofton, Maryland | | March 1, 2008 THE place for BBQ in the ’Cuse but really doesn’t need to be listed here as a place to go for beer. The only thing of note about this place regarding beer is that Middle Ages Brewery here in downtown brews Apehanger ale exclusively for Dino’s BBQ. It’s not a very good beer either kind of like M.A.’s SPA. | | Sammy (273), Toronto, Ontario | | October 18, 2007 This place is popular for people passing through New York State and it is one more good stop of a small but packed craft beer downtown. However, there is little selection of craft beer here, perhaps at one time. This is a place for BBQ. I list it only because its previous reputation for craft beer when pickings were slimmer, may deny a visitor from seeing so many other good places close by. |
