Funknmilla | Visited here January of 2008....This was an all day event!...KawaBomber and I closed the place down!...During our 8 hour stay we enjoyed Pangea ,Indian Brown, 60, and plenty of 90, also plenty of samples of the rums and vodkas...the wit spiced rum is one of my top rums!....Food was excellent, I had pizza and she, the striper and venison stew....we had some apps. too...yum yum and yum!...scenery pretty cool too...boats and wooden DFH signs adorned the bar.....friendly staff, and a friendly crowd that seemed to get friendlier as the night went on...A great ex-beeriance...:)...will revisit...only disappointment was not enough unusual or new items on tap

pineypower | Went here on the weekend at an in between hour and was still pretty crowded. Nice atmosphere, little shark carve outs hanging above the bar with the beers on tap. Also a vintage cellar, but that was expensive. Food was good, very good onion rings and had a special gumbo pizza that sounded strange, but was actually very good. Beers on tap that day that I had were: a small sample of lawnmower light, 120 IPA a 90 IPA and a Palo Santo Marron. The 90 was a standout, very fresh which made this good beer great. Staff knew the basics about all of the beer they were offering and were helpful. The dessert was also awesome the Stout sundae was a highlight. I’ll definitely be coming here again.

GMCC2181 | I have been there many times and never left disappointed. Good beers, some of them only available there. Good food! Good service! Every one there knows the basics about DFH and the beer. I wish they had more rare or aged beers but they usually dont and what they do have is really expensive. But other than that every thing is top notch. Again the only thing I recommend is DONT go there in the summer time on a weekend and expect alot. They are just to busy in the summer.

eaglefan538 | After two more visits: Selection is decent, but the vintage bottle selection is never really that good. The food is quite good, although the menu isn’t very diverse. Great for lunch, decent for dinner, but really crowded, right in front of the beach fare. Original experience: I need to give this another shot. We arrived as a party of 8 with 4 kids on a night when they had lost their grill due to a fire. We waited 45mins and were never told the menu would be cut in half due to the grill issue. Drinks took FOREVER to arrive once seated and we ended up getting half off our tab for the trouble (and a few free drinks). The food was outstanding once it arrived, but with the service, tight space atmosphere, and the overall frustration.... I’m hesitant to recommend it to anyone at this point.

gpekar | Had an anniversary weekend at Rehoboth. Of course the weekend we went hurricane Noel was blowing off the coast Fri & Sat. Stopped at DFH brewery on the way down. Tour was nice, guys were informative and funny. The samples that day were Shelter Pale Ale, 90 Min IPA, Chickory Stout and World Wide Stout, great selection with plenty of refills.
The brew pub wasn’t too crowded with the weather I guess and the wait staff were very friendly. Knowing that everyone goes there for the beer I was surprised that the food was pretty good. We had an assortment of appitizers, try the calamari, and a wood fired pizza that was very good.
Well worth the visit.

Braudog | Made a special trip to the RB area just to visit DFH. After the tour in Milton, we headed to Rehoboth and found a room, then made our way to the brewpub, trying to get there in time for the advertised 5pm tour. We were a little late, but there wasn’t a tour underway anyway. But have no fear, the staff instantly said that the brewer/manager would be happy to show us around in a few minutes. Sure enough, once he was free, we were pleased to meet Jason, who proceeded to spend a full hour with just my wife, me and one other patron, as he showed us the original brewhouse and their upstairs distillery, giving us great detail on their processes and a little bit of DFH history. Tops! We spent a leisurely 3 hours in the brewpub, enjoying the couple brewpub-only drafts and a great dinner of tavern fare. We headed out with a couple bottles of spirits to try at home. The place has more ambiance than I’d ever have guessed from their own on-line pictures, and we were quite happy with our visit good food, good service, a warm booth on a cold night, and awesome beers can’t ask for anything more. (Brewery #451, 11/7/2007).

jblendy | Friendly staff, great food/impressive menu, slightly above average ambiance for a pub (although a bit loud if you have kids with you, but not over the top), reasonably priced (food that is), a decent place to bring your kiddos for the most part, and a nice selection on tap (all year round stuff, and on my visit: 120, baltic porter, lawnmower light, fed extra mild, and pangea). Visited on a fairly busy night with my two children, was seated and fed with 30 min. or so. Beer is a bit over-priced at $5.50 a pint and $7 a snifter of 120 that was about 7 oz. Vintage selections: ’06 Midas $10 and ’05 Old School $20 (although the sign said ’06 World Wide it was not available) I think growlers are the best option here. Basics are $18 including price of growler ($11 or so ), and some of the pricier stuff is $24 (90min. etc.) The only thing that disappointed me really, besides beer prices, (tap or bottled) was that they won’t fill a growler with any of the special stuff, in this case the porter. So overall, worth the visit, especially if you’re just there for a growler fill. And as a personal side note, pick yourself up a growler of 90, and a dozen or so crabs from Higgins or any of the other great crab shacks in Ocean City, MD (about 30 min. south of Rehobeth on rt. 1) and enjoy. What a great pair!

PilsnerPeter | Nice ambiance, friendly service, great food, but as a true hunter for the obscurities I was slightly disappointed. The only beers that I tasted for the first time here were Lawnmower Light and Johnny Rawton Pils. The rest of the taps were the regular: 60min, 90min, Indian Brown, Raisin D’etre, Chicory Stout, Shelter Pale Ale. And, the "vintage" menu was WWS 2006 for $20!! Way over priced... They also had a 2005 Old School Barley Wine for $10. Still too much. I was under the impression there would be at least a couple of seasonals: ie: (Beanie Bock, Blood Orange Hefeweizen), but I was wrong. Overall it’s a great stop, with friendly staff and a nice food menu. The town of Rehoboth Beach is also pretty cool. The brewpub is only like 4 blocks from the beach. Besides for less of a beer selection than expected, my girlfriend and I had a great time. Oh yea, we also got the liquor sampler, and they have some crazy booze distilled there! Brown honey Rum, Blood Orange Vodka, and their Chocolate Vodka was crazy! Smells and tastes like tootsie rolls, and there’s no alcohol astringency! (And I hate vodka)

| kyoutz | I absolutely love the Craft Brewed Ales of Dog Fish Head. On my first trip to the Brew Pub it was closed for a Wedding Reception - very disappointing. The second trip was less than impressive. No limited release beers (and they made a lot of them) available | Appetizer was cold | Food was cold. Tried the Johnny Rawton Pilsner which was very good. Sam needs to raise the quality of the experience in his Brew Pub to that of his Craft Brewed Ales.

| mnicole | it was pretty crowded the night we went. the bar was fairly big so there was some room to sit down and have afew beers while we waited for our table. because of the busy weekend they didn’t have a lot on tap. i was disappointed with the selection. tried a few brewpub exclusives Johnny Rawton and Fluky Fest. i noticed a chalkboard that was titled vintage but nothing was listed on it. i wish they would have had some vintage bottles to try. plenty of dogfish apparel. we brought home a shirt and some rum. worth checking out if you are in the area especially if you are interested in trying their liquors.
