5 reviews for Extra Billys Smokehouse and Brewery
| dkachur (114), Charlottesville, Virginia | | June 8, 2009 This place doesn’t look much like a restaurant or a brewery. Located adjacent to a Best Buy. Parking is ample. I didn’t eat but it certainly smelled nice. Ambience is fairly dark and cozy. 5 beers on draft plus Miller Lite. Both beers I sampled were average at best. My server was nice, but she and another employee were clueless about filling a growler or about beer in general. Clueless as in going out of their way to state as fact something that is clearly wrong. Prices are a little much for what you get (quality wise). Not really worth going out of your way for the beer, especially with Hops so close by. | | phukktifano (12), Richmond, Virginia | | May 27, 2009 Some of the staff are very knowledgeable about the beer and helpful....then there are the others. Some of the beer was good and interesting.....then there are the others. There are much worse places for beer and bbq but I won’t make an extra trip for extra billys. | | argo0 (180), Washington DC | | September 10, 2006 The BBQ was very good, and the service was solid. Still, this is a restaurant that brews beer, not a brewery that serves food. | | Numenor (20), Richmond, Virginia | | August 6, 2006 Nice brewpub with the one disadvantage that it’s a bit of a drive from the north side of the city. Great BBQ and side dishes, comfortable atmosphere with a nice serving staff. | | maniac (90), Richmond, Virginia | | August 6, 2006 Very nice brewpub. The main reason to go is for the food. Some of the best BBQ in richmond. The beer isn’t bad for only 5 taps. The staff know the beer that’s brewed, and make sure that you have a pleasant experience. |
