| lgklotet (14), Singapore, Singapore | | November 13, 2009 My rating of this place is admittedly a little skewed as we came on the big party-day during the spring festival in Swan Valley. The place was packed (like, hundreds of people) with kids partying hard (all in costumes curiously enough). Needless to say, this wasn’t the time for fancy beer sampling so we went for a pint of IPA and a smoked porter. Beers were good. Very good actually. And if I’d been ten years younger I’d loved the place. | | OSLO (81), Perth, Australia | | November 6, 2009 Stopped by here on a Saturday evening. Cool location--best of the 5 Swan Valley brewpubs. Nice building too, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Table service was spotty, but the bartender was helpful. They had quite a number of their beers on tap, including a barley wine, a RIS, and a IIPA. They also have a sampler tray for $15 (6 beers), or tasting size glasses that are pretty reasonably priced. Their glassware for the sampler is the closest that I have seen to proper glassware, but I think they go back to weizen glasses and pint glasses for all of the larger volumes. The food was good, but spendy, as you better be prepared to drop at least $30 on a meal (that is not counting beer or appetizers). Overall definitely worth a stop, even if it is nearly impossible to get to without a car. | halfluck (7), East Victoria Park, Australia does not count - explanation | | November 21, 2008 A very busy place when ever i go there these days, the beer selection is better than your average aussie brew pub with most of their range just jumping out the glass with hops and the food is great!! | | DuffMan (97), the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | | October 4, 2005 Casual, kid-friendly with a swing set and sandpit, nice menu selection with excellent slightly-upscale pub fare (try the burger-- outstanding), with delicious beer as the calling card. | | ALLOVATE (52), Perth, Australia | | July 12, 2005 Over two years ago I would pass on an offer of visiting my local to trek out to ’Feral’. Back then it had a light patronage mainly based around locals. Three trips out there earlier this year did nothing but leave us thirsty as we couldn’t even get a park. Lost a little of it’s charm due to the trendies that now haunt it. Still make one of the best Ploughman’s lunch this side of the British isles, though, and atleast you can wash it down with a decent beer, or two. | chats (3), NORTH FREMANTLE, Australia does not count - explanation | | January 11, 2005 Not a lot more to say other than very dissapointing. | | bluevegie (29), Perth, Australia | | February 28, 2004 [ Updated September 14, 2008 ] Beer oasis in the heart of wine country is an apt desciption. Alsoundomesticated yet sophisticated works well. Casual but well serviced. Beer and food and atmosphere all work well. |
