lagfish (5), , Georgia does not count - explanation | | November 27, 2009 Best selection south of the airport in Atlanta. If I am not in downtown Atlanta, in which I’d visit Hop City, then, this place is where I go. The staff is very friendly and the beer cooler is long with a well above above average selection. Oh, the possibilities they would have if they scrapped the hard liquor area (which is huge) Think of all the craft beer you could stock without the other "noise" in the way :) | | Suttree (88), Knoxville, Tennessee | | August 30, 2009 Typical big warehouse type liquor store, with a decent selection. The staff was nice enough, but didn’t really know a lot about beer. Pretty good prices, though. | | BeerFanDan17 (22), Land O Lakes, Florida | | December 23, 2008 For the area, this is THE BEST selection you can find. Lots of craft beers, microbrews, Belgians, Germans, etc. A huge variety of bottles and some cans a la Oskar Blues. The owners know what they are doing and will special order for you. If you are anywhere south of Atlanta or near Newnan, you must stop by here. | | jhumphries69 (20), Tyrone, Georgia | | July 11, 2008 The best selection in Fayette county (and on my commute home from work!). There are some beers they don’t carry that are available at other bottle shops in the area (Affligem, Left Hand, some others), but overall they have the best selection for this side of Atlanta. Prices are good and staff is generally helpful (as long as you ask for the beer manager). They’ve even ordered special stuff for me that they wouldn’t have usually ordered because they had to order it by the case and were worried they couldn’t move a whole case (like 750ml bottles of Victory V12). The selection isn’t as good as the Green’s stores in town (on Buford and on Ponce), but their selection is continually improving and this one is much more convenient considering where I live... |
