Tucked away in a strip mall. You walk in and instantly are amazed. Lots of bottled beers to buy in 6 packs and singles, but also a couple beers on tap for sampling or pints. You can drink any beer there for a corking fee. The staff is very friendly and gave us samples of everything they had on tap. Prices were a bit high compared to other places. Nice fun place.

What a wonderful find! The owners know and respect craft beer and try to keep their shelves filled with it. All Dogfish Head beers can be had, along with several regional beers, such as Clipper City. Gillys is also a deli where one can avail themselves of tempting sandwiches and artisan cheeses. Don’t let the dreary strip mall location fool you. Check it out and keep it open. Rockville and the thirsty citizens need a place such as this.

Store in Rockville next to Urban BBQ Co. Most craft beers available in Rockville, which to people in many other places does not mean anything but the county has bad rules for getting beer to stores. This store is constantly trying to get new craft beers to be ordered by the county’s distributors and it shows. Prices aren’t the best, but I’m figuring that’s because of the prices they are getting them at unfortunately. Food is also good too, although it’s hard not to eat next door.

Not a bad little shop in a pinch. Pick up a beer on tap while you shop. They had Troegs Rugged on tap. They had just kicked a keg of 120 minute. Pretty decent selection. Nothing that was a surprise but you could easy find a few sixers or 750s to take home. Prices high, but that is Rockville for you. However, the cheese counter and sandwiches looked great. Picked up a few cheeses to take home with me. Few tables to sit at while you enjoy the beer. They will also open any beer in the store, but tack on another 2 bucks for that luxury. Over all not too bad a place. WOuld not go out of my way to go there, but if you are in the neighborhood, it has a nice selection. Funniest part: they had a case of 120 minute by the register. $9.99 a piece of $234.78 for the case. Who needs a case of 120 minute?

Recently opened little place. Kind of tucked behind the main strip on (the rockville pike), but definitely worth a visit. prices are about a dollar too high across the board, but the convenience and selection makes that okay. plus you can sample whatever they have on tap while you cruise the selection (only one brew at a time on tap, but they change it pretty regularly and it’s always something good). the owners are VERY nice and accommodating, just ask and you shall receive. their selection is really broad, everything from american micros to macros to high quality belgians. i saw DFH, Brooklyn, Ommegang, Victory, Urthel, Pilsener, Rogue, Chimay, Kwak, Gulden Draak, La Trappe. and really, if you don’t see it, ask them and they’ll try to help. also, they have pretty good sandwiches.

These guys just opened a little while back. Maybe 6 months to a year. The owners are very nice, and big fans of beer. They keep improving, they always have something to sample, and they are making an effort to bring craft beer to MoCo, where it is sorely, sorely under available. Prices are a little high, but not exorbitant. Selection is continually improving, and they now have beer on tap. They also serve food, thought I haven’t tried it.
**Update - I’ve had the food now (Meatball Monday!) and it was good and a nice price.

If you go here, be sure to go next door and try one of the best BBQ places in the D.C. region.
