Kevin and Deborah are wonderful, helpful, thoughtful and considerate. They make you feel welcome the first time and every consecutive time hence forth. The selection is excellent, we have found none better in Virginia Beach. I may need to direct deposit my pay check to them to save time as much as I buy from them. Thanks for bringing good beer to good beer people.

so my wife was going down this way for business and i looked this place up and said to her it is right down the street from where you are staying maybe you want to stop by. well she called me from the store and asked me what she should look for. i quickly found there web site and the owner and his wife helped lead her through the store and were quite helpful. she got a few of the bells brews that i don’t get at home and i said have him pick one or two if there is enough room in your suitcase. he found her a barley wine from Virginia and a nice ipa. and wrapped it all in bubble wrap and boxed it to fly home. web site was very helpful and her review of the couple who run it was great as well as her impression of the store overall. thanks to the owners for being so helpful to my wife, she had a good beer experience and does not even drink it. she also said he had just received an award from ratebeer.com that he was proud of and showed her.

Best beer store in Hampton Roads Peninsula or Southside and that’s saying something because both Bon Vivant locations are great, too. Best selection now up to 400 bottles and constantly growing. I only pulled a point off of selection because they can’t compete with the selection of places in other markets like State Line Liquors and Beeryard. But they are the best around here. I agree with everything others have said about Kevin and Deb and staff. Also great are the website and e-mails.

best beer store in the area, bar none. Kevin and Deb are spectacular, friendly, and very knowledgeable. As a beer geek, it’s great to have someone who loves beer as much as I do trying his hardest to get great beer for his customers. He’s even sold me a couple bottles from his own private stash. Even better, they will hold new arrivals and limited releases for you if they know you, so be nice when you go in! Haven’t made it to the tastings yet, bet they are supposed to be great. If you live anywhere close, do yourself a favor and stop by G&G.

I’d been told about this by some of my friends in the area and their interest in checking this place out while I visited. I checked out the beer list online and was impressed. From the outside of the store you wouldn’t believe that this place could have such a good selection. This is not to say that it did not look good, but it certainly has more of a different feel. This is not the case once you actually get to their selection. What looks like a small section of the store is actually full of a vast array of beers that I’ve never seen collected in one place before (at least no beer store). I was in there for about an hour and talked to the owners for nearly the entire time. They have excellent tastes and were great to gauge about beers they carry. Brutally honest with their selection - telling me when they absolutely didn’t like something and also suggestions about other beers (letting them sit a while for instance). Almost every beer in the store has a description with the overall percentage straight from RateBeer! This place will be a stopping point each time I’m in the area.

Finally stopped in here, been meaning to for a while. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. The selection is not huge, but very quality, and from what I hear constantly changing and growing. Definitely the best place I know of in the area.

Best place ever! This place lives up to all the great things ive read and more. The service is great. I was greeted when i walked in and they were prepared to answer any questions i had. I was looking for one beer in particular that happened to be all gone and the owner was nice enough to give (sell)me a bottle out of his own collection! My new favorite place.

Best beer store I’ve been too. Great selection of top rated micros and a good amount of harder to find imports. Best part about the place is the service. They treat you right and are very knowledgable. I could hang out all day.

It’s set in a strip mall near the VB main library, a good neighborhood. The staff was friendly, unobtrusive, and passionate about beer. The selection was great in both quantity and quality. This is a must stop for beer geeks vacationing in our little corner of the world. It’s not far from the oceanfront and features quite a few local brews. I got a Stone XI (mmmmmm) and some Old Richmonds.
