Great tour, don’t miss this if you are in the Dublin area. The gravity bar was a great end to the end of the day. The first time I’ve had the Extra Stout and Foreign Extra Stout, they opened my eyes to what Guinness can do. I’m not a fan of nitro beers, these were a pleasant change.

Really a nice memory geeting a pint of black Guinness at that bar in the top of the "Tower". Sovinires are wxpensive here.

This has got to be one of the coolest tours I’ve ever been on, meant for both the laymen Guinness enthuisiast and even the most geekiest and knowledgeable beer drinker. It has several multimedia presentations and (currently) a very interesting 250 year history of Guinness gallery. With a beautiful view of the city of Dublin and great food (even for a vegetarian), this was certainly a treat. Yes it was touristy but so is the rest of Dublin. Very fun and reccomended.

An expensive, very touristy destination but when you figure in the nice view from the top, the free pint and other tasting it really isn’t that bad and worth visiting. The place is a bit of a spectacle with the huge exhibits about the beer making process and Arthur Guiness worshipping. Also has a bar where you can get other varieties of Guiness.

September 2009 -- OK, so you have to go here once. It’s a major ripoff if you ask me, and swarming with tourists. But it’s a fun-enough brewery visit and its the easiest place to find the sometimes hard-to-find Extra Stout and even Foreign Extra Stout.

Visited on a Saturday in May, it was extremely busy with horse-drawn carriages lined up outside, droves of people waiting patiently in line, and 6 or 7 floors of tourists gradually filtering themselves upwards to the top bar. Really interesting self-guided tour for beer and history in general and as it applies to Guinness specifically, that’s just the museum part. The bars are at the top, the topmost not having even standing room for us to linger, but worth the 360 degrees of windows to look out about town. The bars one flight down were more interesting in terms of Guinness products. We tried a few things here that are not available anywhere else in Ireland -- we looked. Well worth the visit and entry fee, but leave yourself a couple hours to really soak up the history and samples.

Its a massive tourist trap but its a FUN massive tourist trap. Got roped into being the Gate photographer for a group of other tourists who returned the favour. I had no idea the tour part would be so long, we spent a good part of the afternoon here. Bars are pretty sterile for the most part but the top floor Gravity Bar has a great panoramic view. Unfortunately we went on a Saturday and it was jam packed with people, and so warm in there I couldn’t stand to drink my pint up there so we brought it back down. The 5th floor bars have some of the other Guinness products, be mindful of the closing times, we missed out on them our first visit and had to sneak back in on a return visit! :) Kitschy, but worth doing if you have time as some of the exhibits are pretty cool.

Best view of Dublin. Free Pint of Guinness. The tour was so-so. In one trip I had the two extremes of Brewery tours with this high-tech version and the unembellished Cantillon Brewery Tour. But, this is worth the view and Pint.

Nice to see the brewery and getting lectured on the history of this brewery. Extremely good view from the 6th floor of this bar. Special to have a Guinness on that very brewery. Even though the bar staff was very buisy, I received a smile and a personal and good service.

My friend is going this May and I find myself jealous since I went before I had a true taste for beer. An appalling loss, that 7% Guinness... The view is comprehensive, but Dublin is a factory town and is gray as you please. Completing the tour with this bar, however, is like a reward for getting a prize.
