7 reviews for High Noon Saloon and Brewery
| Indra (51), Prairie Village, Kansas | | October 20, 2009 Authentic rustic feel, decor and patrons alike. Usually a good selection of beers (about 8 or 9 at any given time), although the quality of these can vary highly, and this brewer tends to shy away from anything big (as in big beers), so don’t come expecting to find an Imperial anything on. That said, I have had a couple of decent brews here over the years. Food prices are very affordable and has a decent country-type brewpub selection, and service is usually pretty good. Parking is never a problem. All in all, worth a trip up to Leavenworth every now and again. | | theisti (114), Leawood, Kansas | | March 2, 2009 Visited mid-week in February with kp for lunch and the sampler tray. The restaurant bar and brewery are located in a cool older building in the center part of older Leavenworth. Both the dining room and bar area are quite large. I sat at the large bar, and had excellent service from the barkeeper. The spicy catfish sandwich I had was tasty as were the sweet potato fries. Sampler was 7 beers, each a healthy 4-5 ozs. The owner of the place came out and said hello to Keith and I. Nice guy, seems to have a really good thing going - place is very popular with locals. Only drawback was the smoking, which varied from pretty terrible to being merely noticeable. Choose your spot carefully, if smoking bothers you. | | nearbeer (98), Knoxville, Tennessee | | August 1, 2007 Vistited a couple of times in the last 10 years. The only place in Leavenworth for local brew, which is surprisingly good. Food is pretty good as well. Nice setting in typical old downtown, renovated location. | | Dansting (114), Overland Park, Kansas | | June 27, 2007 A pretty good little out-of-the-way brewpub. They had about 8-10 different beers on tap (besides the macros), and most were decent-to-great. The place itself was hopping, especially on a Thursday night. The food was pretty good, and they had good food specials as well. A good place to go to with a bunch of friends, especially on a Thursday night. | | SledgeJr (79), Omaha, Nebraska | | December 6, 2006 The first time that I went here I thought the beers were pretty good. The second time I visited, beer was pretty lousy. This is a big joint and you have a good chance of finding a spot that is not excessively smokey. | | heemer77 (171), Savannah, Missouri | | September 6, 2006 This place was in a fairly dead neighborhood. The bar itself is very very large and seemed very empty while I was there. The place was clean with some old character. The tap handles were square and goofy looking. The beer was ok and I had it with some good gumbo. The turntable sampler tray was nice. | | Braudog (478), Dayton, Ohio | | July 3, 2005 Visited first time in April 2002 and been back a few times since. This is a no-frills midwestern dinner environment. The pub area is festooned with some interesting breweriana. They have a decent selection to choose from, but none of their beers have ever rated very high with me. The service is hit or miss. |
