HoDo Lounge

OK, I had to check and make sure I was in Fargo after I walked into this place. Super hip, urban, artistic place. Check the website for pics if you don’t believe me. The Hotel Donaldson has 17 rooms, each decorated by a different artist. My group was taken up by the bar manager to see one. Impressive. Entering the lounge you are walking along a very large, interesting mural done with all sorts of materials. Original art adorns the walls which I think are brick. On tap they had 2 different Summits, Rogue dead guy, and maybe some other micros. Good bottle selection of US micros and imports. Nothing Belgian or rare, but solid choices. They had some Christmas beers as well. Staff knows their stuff and are very friendly. Great vibe in this place. Doesn’t feel like a hotel bar at all. I ate food from the lounge menu...which is sparse, but the Buffalo burger was good enough to bring me back 2 nights later for a repeat. The full HoDo retaurant menu is available as well, a bit pricey though. Pints of Dead Guy were $5 and were in excellant shape. Good wine & spirit selections as well. Certainly recomended..
