10 reviews for Joe’s Place
PrinceofNessus (5), Westminster, Colorado does not count - explanation | | November 3, 2009 Great selection, among the best in Oklahoma. The prices are decent, but the staff isn’t overly helpful. They get in new releases more quickly than any other store in Norman. | | ericandersnavy (28), crossroads, Texas | | June 14, 2009 i didnt like this place one bit. organization was horrible. staff was not friendly, nor even asked if they could help me find anything. i will not be returning at all. cache road in lawton is way better than this place. | notmarr2000 (2), Lawton, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | March 11, 2009 Very good beer store. Full selection of what is available in Oklahoma. Decent prices. | Artillery (2), Lawton, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | August 23, 2008 I went here with some friends after a game it was cool | fivepointer (3), Norman, Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | March 18, 2008 Best liquor store in the town, hands down... Knowledgable and friendly staff who won’t even hesitate to break up a six pack for you or talk beer quality, and (for Oklahoma) about as good a selection overall that you’ll find. | | mattcoats (18), Norman, Oklahoma | | March 23, 2007 Great place to get single bottles. Just ask if you see a six pack for them to break it up. The prices are competitive and the staff very knowledgeable. | | troyc (72), Lubbock, Texas | | August 18, 2006 I like going to this place. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the selection is pretty good. Slightly more expensive then other places, but much better selection as well. | | PhillyBeer2112 (57), Orange Park, Florida | | March 26, 2006 A decent little store. As others have said, it must be the best in OK, but does not rank among the best stores I’ve been to. I always appreciate a selection of singles. Some interesting stuff. | newtrip (2), does not count - explanation | | October 19, 2005 The selection here is the best I have seen so far anywhere in Oklahoma. The beer is a little more expensive here. This is good for those rare beers you would like to try but probably won’t be buying on a common basis.
The staff have been helpful and are more than willing to look up beers to see if they have them or can get them in. I wish the prices weren’t as much as other places, because this would be my store of choice otherwise. | | ¾ (631), Boulder, Colorado | | January 25, 2004 [ Updated May 4, 2004 ] Compared to the best liquor stores in the world this is nothing, but for Oklahoma it is near the top. Has a decent singles selection, and they usually are the first to bring in seasonals. Always friendly and willing to break down a 6 pack if you ask. If you are in OKC, you might not be able to find the good stuff without searching around the city, so it might be easier to come down to Norman, but be aware that the prices go up slightly due to this being a college town. Regardless of that, Joe’s Place is the best beer store in Oklahoma. |
