The Best place to find and buy micros in Albuquerque. The selection is as good as it gets anywhere in the city and the staff really knows what they are talking about. Mainly a wine store (4000+ bottles), the beer selection includes upwards of 300 beers. This place carries a very limited selection of macros, reserving space for the micros. The 7 cooler doors of 6 packs and 2 doors of singles are packed as tight as possible, allowing maximum usage of available space. Next time you need to buy something, stop in at the best store in the Burque.

Wow! That would have been the simpliest way to sum this place up. The staff was extreamly helpful. Since I don’t get to the states much these days, they made recommendations of beers I need to try in my stay in NM. They also gave me personal insite into many of their favorites. The selection was very exciting, but that could because I haven’t seen these beers in Europe. Again I wish I had time to buy some 4 or 6 packs. If I am ever back this way I am will not miss out on another stop here and neither should any of you!

Off notes, 9/2006. As I write this, I have been in Albuquerque for 7 weeks. Plainly stated, the selection of beer in New Mexico is pretty weak, and while talking to one of the guys at Jubilation I found out why. It’s all about the distributors of course, so their choices are limited. Jubilation has a pretty good selection overall. They carry some Belgian brews and a lot of Avery’s stuff, though it is hardly the mecca for beer. Maybe one of the mecca’s of Albuquerque, but you can tell the selection is limited, though still very good. The staff is extremely helpful, laid back, and willing to shoot the breeze with you. And beyond beer, their wine selection is massive. Definitely worth checking out if you are new to the city.

This is probably the best place to buy beer in Albuquerque. They have a good selection, really good service, people on staff who like beer, and pretty good prices. The drawback is that they do not devote a lot of room in the store to beer (but they make good use of limited space). They sponsor a couple of beer tastings a year. The new beer meister Carl is focusing on getting some new and interesting beers. Overall a good establishment.

Decent selection if you’re driving from Oklahoma. Was able to find new big beer releases, in fact they had many cases of each. Bottles in coolers. Reasonable prices. Decent neighborhood, easy to find and park at.b

I’m gonna have to disagree with Dave. Kokoman in Pojuaque has a better selection. But this is the best selection in ABQ. The staff knows little about the beer they have. It is all in coolers though. Good prices.

Although the selection is limited by space, most new releases of quality beers can be found here. Shelf space is not wasted on swill and the prices are very reasonable. Turnover is good so freshness is reliable and new releases come in regularly. Knowledgeable staff, especially Karl, usually present.

The guys that work here are amiable and helpful, and at least one of em’ demonstrates a genuine passion for beer. I’m glad they try to stock a variety of Belgium ales--big bonus for me. The place is much more classy than some of the alternatives. All I can recommend is even more selection of pint-bottles. As it is, they’ve got quite a showcase, but it should be twice the size--and perhaps they should pull down some of the dry shelves and add some more refrigerated shelves for their beer. Variety is key, and offering stuff that’s not found at other stores is important. I look forward to bringing more business to this place. Danke.
