| AskForJenny (19), Ontario, New York | | September 30, 2009 Racks of beer in the back of a liquor store. No real surprises, but there was a healthy and supported selection of local product. Staff was helpful once you asked for it. Easy to find and get to once you figure out the awkward intersection and where the door is. | thebarista (2), , does not count - explanation | | September 9, 2009 good little shop keeps em cool and has a good selection. | blazingspiral (1), Albuquerque, New Mexico does not count - explanation | | May 14, 2009 A store that dedicates its beer space to microbrews, hooray! The friendly staff tries nearly all the new releases, so you can ask for their opinions before wasting your money. This is the best store in town for rare and expensive brews. They currently have Mikkeller single-hop IPAs, all the Oskar Blues products, a bigger Rogue selection than anyone else in town, the freshest Stone bottles this side of Arizona, and a whole refrigerator section called "Hophead Heaven" for people like me. Check it out. | sudsmeister (3), Colorado does not count - explanation | | May 4, 2009 I can always count on Jubilation to have a wide selection of cold Stone bombers. They even had some Double Bastard last time I was there. As a former Albuquerquean, this is my go to place for some great brews. | sjolles85 (4), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | May 1, 2009 Great shop..Tons of Beer/Booze...GREAT STAFF. THEY KNOW THAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT...i will def stop back in when Im in town | | ajm (161), Los Angeles, California | | October 27, 2008 Will go again in the 505. They seem to have their selection on lock: found Chocolate Indulgence, Paradox 009, the Yetis, some good Harvests and Pales. Solidly above the average liquor store. | geherald (2), Albuquerque, New Mexico does not count - explanation | | July 27, 2008 The Best place to find and buy micros in Albuquerque. The selection is as good as it gets anywhere in the city and the staff really knows what they are talking about. Mainly a wine store (4000+ bottles), the beer selection includes upwards of 300 beers. This place carries a very limited selection of macros, reserving space for the micros. The 7 cooler doors of 6 packs and 2 doors of singles are packed as tight as possible, allowing maximum usage of available space. Next time you need to buy something, stop in at the best store in the Burque. | | SHIG (81), Aviano, Italy | | November 7, 2007 Wow! That would have been the simpliest way to sum this place up. The staff was extreamly helpful. Since I don’t get to the states much these days, they made recommendations of beers I need to try in my stay in NM. They also gave me personal insite into many of their favorites. The selection was very exciting, but that could because I haven’t seen these beers in Europe. Again I wish I had time to buy some 4 or 6 packs. If I am ever back this way I am will not miss out on another stop here and neither should any of you! | | RblWthACoz (23), Brooklyn, New York | | October 13, 2007 Off notes, 9/2006. As I write this, I have been in Albuquerque for 7 weeks. Plainly stated, the selection of beer in New Mexico is pretty weak, and while talking to one of the guys at Jubilation I found out why. It’s all about the distributors of course, so their choices are limited. Jubilation has a pretty good selection overall. They carry some Belgian brews and a lot of Avery’s stuff, though it is hardly the mecca for beer. Maybe one of the mecca’s of Albuquerque, but you can tell the selection is limited, though still very good. The staff is extremely helpful, laid back, and willing to shoot the breeze with you. And beyond beer, their wine selection is massive. Definitely worth checking out if you are new to the city. | igel (1), New Mexico does not count - explanation | | September 3, 2004 This is probably the best place to buy beer in Albuquerque. They have a good selection, really good service, people on staff who like beer, and pretty good prices. The drawback is that they do not devote a lot of room in the store to beer (but they make good use of limited space). They sponsor a couple of beer tastings a year. The new beer meister Carl is focusing on getting some new and interesting beers. Overall a good establishment. |
