Ok, to start with, this place is just huge and gorgeous. I’m only doing scores and such based on the beer selection, but the wine and liquor selection is pretty impressive too. The beer selection doesn’t take up even a third of the store I’d say, and isn’t as large an amount of bottles as I’ve encountered in other places, but it’s an impressive amount irregardless. Lots of things I can’t get in NY which is always nice. Might have been the time of night and day I was there, but the one guy who came over to ask if I needed help didn’t seem super knowledgeable, and I ended up answering a bunch of questions for a couple of customers there. Still ended up with a nice haul, and the 15% off on 6 or more singles is a nice thing.

This is the place to go. Amazing beer selection and a knowledgeable staff. Prices are good for the quality of inventory here. If it wasn’t so far away I’d live at this place.

Big space- well lit and well organized. Fairly extensive selection with a nice Belgian isle. I enjoy seeing local MA stuff that’s not available to me in NYC such as Newport Storm as well as other New England microbreweries. The prices weren’t that great- some were a bit steap. I liked the 15% off I received though for purchasing more than 6 loose bottles (or whatever that special is). The Danish stuff is overpriced, yet it’s overpriced everywhere. The hot sauce isle is a plus as well- I picked up a Georgia Peach/Sweet Vidalia Onion Hot Sauce that’s quite tasty. I’m glad sell sell singles and let you mix a six. The staff also approached and asked if I needed any help, which was nice. The place is slightly overrated, however, in my most humble opinion- with a selection that is vast, yet there is nothing extraordinary here that other large beer shops don’t offer. I’ve been to better bottle shops such as Binny’s of Chicago, some locals in New Jersey, and perhaps even Half Time in NY.

Originally reviewed 7/26/2008...no changes deemed necessary... I’m glad I now have an excuse to go to this place that is under normal circumstances a schlep all the way out to Westboro - summer soccer league in Grafton and a 5-minute drive off the pike! The first time I walked into this place I just looked at the walls of beer and said, "Duuude..." Lots and lots of selection. Sixers, bombers, American craft, LOTS of Belgian and German fare. Give Julio’s the edge to others in the area on breadth of selection. Service is solid and knowledgeable - I don’t rely too much on service in a place like this - it’s pretty much a hunt & peck exercise. Quality of the offerings is very good - have heard some things regarding freshness dates but haven’t noticed any issues to date. What sucks is that my knee got banged up pretty good so I’m on the shelf for soccer and haven’t been able to get out there for a few weeks. It’s a haul to get to but once you’re there it’s a great store.

great for rare beers that are tough to find, just got Stone Cali-Belgique, Alesmith IPA, Alesmith Yulesmith, Mekkeller Nelson IPA, Sierra Nevada Harvest, Port Wipeout IPA, was hoping for a little more selection from the reputation, but well worth the visit.

What an amazing beer selection. I’m originally from the northeast but never visited this store until now. When going back on business I made it a point to stop in. The store itself is larger than I thought it would be. I still can’t believe the wide range of top quality beer they stock. AleSmith and a full line of Port/Lost Abbey on the east coast? Just a few others but certainly not limited to: Southern Tier, Ballast Point, Moylans, Bear Republic, Stone, Green Flash, Troegs, Mikkeller, Nogne O. A full row of imports. Prices are decent but 15 percent off 6 bottle purchase is nice. I found so many I’ve been looking for but could only pick up 7-8 bottles for my checked luggage. As Arnold says, I’ll be back. Friendly staff. World class store. Worth traveling to.

Took my infrequent (due to distance) visit to Julio’s again this week. It took me over an hour; brought home a case of singles and 20 bombers that I haven’t tried before and I left many on the shelves. Amazing selection of little-seen in the East and full line-up of multiple East Coast micros and, Belgium (Fantome), Canada (Dieu du Ciel), Norway (Nogne O), Denmark (Mikkeller), etc. This is a one stop shop for rare beers that you normally have to travel and search for. Prices seem very reasonable based on other prices in MA. There is also an excellent selection of dry and hot sauce...wine and cigar sections appear equally comprehensive yet didn’t really care to visit. They also have a small cooler of cheese. Staff was happy to properly package my singles and bombers in sturdy cases.

Julio’s Liquors is a large liquor store located about 45 minutes from Boston. Inside, it is arranged by liquor into distinct areas, each with its own flavor. The beer section, needless to say, was quite impressive. I saw rows of excellent beers that cannot be found with any consistency anywhere else in the Northeast. For example, breweries like Port, Lost Abbey, Nogne, Mikkeller, and Stone have nearly their whole line at Julio’s. This includes standouts like Brunch Weasel and Angel’s Share!! I traveled nearly an hour and a half to get here, but it was a trip well worth it. And i didn’t even come on a "Tim’s Tasting" day!

I describe this as the best beer store in eastern Massachusetts. Over a thousand different beers, with a great selection of American micros and Belgians. I drive nearly an hour to visit this place three times each year.

Julios... pronounced JU- leo’s, not HU-leo’s like everyone would think... so weird. Kinda a drive if you live in Boston, about 45 minutes or so, but well worth it. First off, the selection and quantity is the best in the state. If a rare beer comes to the state, they have it and they have as much of it as they can get/need. Both Joe and Tom have helped me on many occasions and they are really great guys. They always let you know what’s new and may not be on the shelves yet, plus make some suggestions from what’s in your cart. In recent years I’ve seen beers from Alesmith, LA, Stone, Ballast Point, Green Flash, The Bruery, Lagunitas, and lots of other west coast stuff, plus a huge wall of Belgian and various europeans (German, Scottish, English) and a separate section for all the scandanavian brews. The local selection is bonkers too, as they have created relationships with various local breweries and occasionally get one-off brews and limited edition seasonals. This is the best
