Excellent beer store where I could find a large variety of beers that I was looking for as a rare traveller in the midwest. The selection of imported goods was solid, like that of the country’s very good beer stores. The prices were alright, I must say I’ve seen cheaper prices, but did not feel offended and I’m not familiar with prices in the area, but the pints were cheaper than what I’m used to. Of particular interest to me were (Sept 08) 6-8 different Schlafly including 2 reserves, 6-7 from Bluegrass, both 750 and 330mL, Stuff from Thirsty Dog, Mad Anthony, Three Floyds (including Behemoth, Gorch Fork, Dreadnaught...), many vintage JW Lees. On parallel, the staff made sure, a couple of times, that we had what we needed. They did not go beyond that (many places offer freebies when you buy 200$ of beer), but it was agreeable.

It’s the best Beer/Wine store I’ve ever been. They’ve got it all.

I stopped by Kahn’s while they were having a tasting, which consisted of some mighty fine stuff! They had a colossal selection of beers that I spent a good half an hour picking through.. Unfortunately I was on business without my car, so I couldn’t take much back with me. They had a lot of stuff that I’d never seen before and/or couldn’t get. The service seemed kind, but rushed, which I’m sure had to do with the tasting. Great place to stop!

Decent selection really close to my inlaws house. Prices seemed a bit steep. They have a deli, i, however did not eat.

I was pumped going inside, it was reminding me of Party Source in Newport Kentucky. Got inside and wasn’t really disappointed at all. A couple big rows of beer, and some local stuff I hadn’t seen yet in the Indy area. Some of the prices however were on the steep side. $10 a 12oz for the JW Lees, and several other that were the highest I’ve seen anywhere. Pretty solid store, certainly more convenient than Crown #15 when traveling through the area, but I would still rather go to Crown.

Lots of interesting beers are available here, along with tons of regional micros. There were even a few meads mixed in that I’ve not seen elsewhere. I dished out quite a bit of money here... definitely worth the stop.

Easy to find off the highway, this place kicks ass. Great selection of midwest beers, I think my best pickup was a pink wax Behemoth. 1 long row of micros with another row of mostly the same ones in the cooler. Lotsa glassware here too. Selection was very good, prices were for the most part very reasonable... but 2005 Oerbier Reserva for $12 was kinda strange to see considering I paid less than half that for 04s in NY. The kid that helped me was very knowledgable and very helpful, and also very patient. He really went out of his way to make sure I saw every last micro they had whether in the front or the cooler.

This place looks different than the picture. First thing I noticed was how small the parking lot is compare to the number of customers. There seemed to be a wine tasting going on when I arrived. Nice new looking building with tan metal siding. The bottle shop is connected to a deli. Inside along the left wall was an impressive array of beer in the long row of coolers. Opposite was the non cooler stuff. There were plenty of Midwest beers to choose from. Very nice European beer selection including dusty Harvest ales dating from 1998 to present and all selling for $9.99. This was the only bottle shop I was able to check while in IN and had the best price of Three Floyds Behemoth Barleywine I’ve seen at $17.99. Excellent singles selection.

Well, I stopped here last year in the old location. It was a treasure trove of rare beers, but very cramped and with no logical arrangement. I visited the new location today to find a large, spacious store with even more beer and very good organization. The sheer amount of beer was staggering and it took me a while to comb through it all. It makes me wonder how much of it is rotated properly. Chance you take, I guess. Very nice rare stuff available. All kinds of imports and regional stuff along with a few better known micros from other locations in the states. Mandatory stop in Indianapolis.
